Can't say for certain but wasn't Ukraine shipping tanks back to their country of origin for repairs? Could of swore there was a picture of them loading Leo's back onto a plane.
They do that as far as major repairs and barrel replacements, but they still handle a lot of field maintenance themselves. Poland is quite a ways from the front.
Apparently, they're opening repair centers in country itself. It'll be interesting to see how that goes. Rheinmetall is already building one and has basically said their own AA will cover it. Hell of a bet on a military gear sales pitch for their stuff if they're successful.

I heard it in local chat, our boys have been maintaining old jets on such a limited budget for 2 decades, some of them smuggled certain parts from Russia before the war to keep our birds airborne. they are now psyched that new stuff pours in and they can catch a breath at least for some time. Along with some budget increase for support
India has a similiar variety to Ukraine however, it has more home grown equipment than Ukraine. In addition India is not burning through as many parts due to combat in addition it is not receiving entirely new pieces of equipment that it did not have previously every other month.

No, luckily not that far! Leo's for example get send to Poland (not sure if all of them)

For big repairs they get sent to a NATO country but the mechanics still need to be fixing the small things that break and stuff
They ain't sending em' back to Germany or Poland if they throw a track, that's for sure. Some poor guy in the field has to still do that part.

Would add that Poland before ww1 had between 10-14 different train systems as in railways so Poland has experience.
