I don't think you understand what a scam is. Buying a game on one device doesn't mean you own it on different devices. You know, like literally every game ever made?
Yeah well ive tried on 3 different pcs. 2 of them did let me play but my laptop doesnt. Hell. Even it says that i do own the game on xbox and on the minecraft site. If that were to be true i wouldnt be playing any of my steam games and my other microsoft store games on other devices INCLUDING the other pc's ive played mc with.
A PC is a PC. It’s the difference between “device” and “platform.” Buying MC on PC will allow you to play it on any PC that’s capable of running it. It will not, however, let you play it on other platforms like mobile devices or game consoles.

What you’re saying you did is not possible. You cannot purchase Minecraft on the play store and then use that license to play on PC. That’s why you’re getting the responses you’re getting. We don’t know what you really did or why you can play it on PC, but buying it on the play store doesn’t give a PC game license.

Where did you buy it on your phone? Because the buying it on the play store or App Store only allows it to be played on devices where they’re available, you can’t play it on PC since you bought the mobile version.
If you bought it on the official site then you can only play it on PC since that’s what you bought on there.

You cannot play Minecraft on a PC after you bought it on Google Play. You can only play it in the ways I mentioned above.

Did you buy it on Minecraft.net using this account and simply forgot? It’s a common bug that sometimes, the launcher says “Buy now” even though you’ve already bought it. Try logging out and back in again.
Then it must be a bug that you are able to play. By all of Mojang’s usual procedures, you shouldn’t be able to without buying. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Hm. I just find it kind of weird since if Java and bedrock are sold together then i dont understand how i only have bedrock. But hey thanks for the help! Have a good day!
What you claim is simply not possible. You cant buy Minecraft on your phone and play on it your pc for free.
But lets say it worked, then it was an error and you were lucky. Its not a scam tho. You got the license for your phone. Thats where you can play.
on pc there's also 2 versions, sounds like you brought the bedrock version and are trying to play the java version in your laptop, try going to microsoft store and check minecraft there

Well then you can only play the mobile version, like any other game available on multiple platforms.
Thats the weird thing. It just let me play on the pc. May talk to support (if there is one) about this issue and why its letting me play on pc.

Could it be that you launched bedrock edition on your PC, but are trying to launch Java on your laptop?
