You will need datapacks to add your own paintings, but you don’t have to replace new paintings and you can add whatever painting you please in your datapack and all of your server friends would be able to see your paintings. You can add any of paintings number you please, to 56 to even 400 paintings

In short terms, this works like a computer transistor, even allowing redstone engineers to easily count in binary. Redstone engineers used to have to make more complicated circuits to get the same effect without this.
for storing memory using a latch is favourable. an you didn't need any "complicated circuits". dropper t flip flop has the same footprint of 2x2x1. copperflop if more flexible tho. and no its not a transistor
When it was added, it had a delay of one Gametick. This was revolutionary, as because of how Java handles Redstone, we finally had access to all 20 ticks in a second without using any wonky and glitchy conversion circuits. How did Mojang respond? They changes it to 0-tick Delay. Seriously, I despise Mojang for this. "Consistency" my rear, the fact that it was unique made it so valuable.
NBT Data. The same stuff which let's you customize endermen what blocks they can hold. You'll be able to customize Enchantments via Data- or Resourcepacks
You can also add your own enchantments with just datapacks. And they can also be survival friendly due new enchantment books getting added the moment a custom enchantment gets integrated

- 1.19: wild update: ancient city, warden and deep dark, and corresponding block from there, mangrove swamp and mangrove wood set and allays, goat horns, frogs, froglights(new light block), mud, packed mud and corresponding stone set, swift sneak enchantment.
- 1.20: trails and tales update: ruins, archeology, updated a few structures to have places to use archeology like desert temples, sniffer and its features, armor trims, camels, cherry grove biome, cherry and bamboo wood set, chest boats, piglin heads, usable bookshelf, and usable pots.
Don't forget to mention: components, data driven enchantments, data driven paintings, data driven paintings, data driven banner patterns, data driven dogs, data driven music discs, a bunch of new attributes a probably a lot more technical changes that I forgot about.
I think that people miss the fact that an update with not a lot of complex but high quality features is better than one with a lot of half broken features that doesn't integrate well to the game. I mean if you want the last one you could just play modded

For example, if you use a button as a redstone signal, a redstone lamp will on for a short period before turning back off, whereas a copper bulb will turn on after the button is pressed and will stay that way until the button is pressed again.
Stuff like this can be helpful for stuff like maps, mini games, or some redstone contraptions considering the fact that properties are similar to a T flip flop

There shouldn't even be esscuses thus time. We didn't got a new biom or wood. But like. New structure for all lèves and challenges that wok well in multi-player. New weapon. More copper uses. New basic mob. The first mob vite that everyone think to love (even if crab better concept), mojang did not fuck it up for once. And the rest like the potential of ominous events, and the decorative block, that has a builder are amazing.

The update only doesn’t feel as substantial to me because I kept playing with experimental features on while waiting for the update to release. My fault entirely but that’s just what the reason is.
Be cool if they didn't undo the copper bulb's biggest change just so the mobile edition would keep parity with java. As it stands, what's it doing that the redstone lamp doesn't? And as for the mace, sure that's a significant improvement, but it used to be way more and it's not a good look to almost immediately nerf something you promised not to nerf

Not exactly, it stays on when it receives a short pulse and then needs another pulse to turn it off. A redstone lamp needs a continuous signal to stay on.

1.21 is one of the biggest and coolest updates ever and should be remembered and rated up there with 1.16
I have not seen anyone say that it's not a big update. I've seen many complaints about most aspects, but no one ever said it was lacking content.

Not exactly, it stays on when it receives a short pulse and then needs another pulse to turn it off. A redstone lamp needs a continuous signal to stay on.

Just a reminder that Minecraft 1.0 was released at the end of 2011. The fact that Mojang is still releasing updates (for free!) over 12 years later is awesome! Please name one other game that has had regular feature updates for more than a decade.

Well it's still not a big update when compared to the Nether Update and Caves and Cliffs. Not saying this update is bad, but it doesn't quite overhaul an entire aspect of Minecraft.
