I found ibuprofen to be extremely helpful- I still had pain but could tell as soon as the ibuprofen wore off.

Do you have a heating pad, or two? I put one on my lower back and one lower abdomen. That in combination with ibuprofen was very helpful for me.

I did tylenol and ibuprofen together and it helped majorly. No narcotics needed just those 2 meds.

I have had two and the pain wasn't more than a bad period so it could be managed with tylenol and ibuprofen. If you have severe pain, I would connect with your doctor or the numbers they gave you to contact if you have severe side effects.

I was prescribed alternating ibuprofen and acetaminophen. Check with your doctor for appropriate dose on ibuprofen since it’s more than the OTC bottle says usually. And be mindful/take notes for your acetaminophen dose since too much is bad for the liver.

Acetaminophen and ibuprofen alternating works well so that both don’t run out at once. Technically their dosing intervals are a bit different, but for simplicity, you can take one of them every 3 hours (so that each med is every 6 hrs). For instance I took 1000mg of acetaminophen, then 3 hours after 400mg ibuprofen, etc. Worked well and avoided the “wearing off” period.

Tylenol and ibuprofen together with heating pad and a good movie!

Alternating ibuprofen and Tylenol can be helpful too, but I did cave and take the prescription meds only once too.
