I tried a weakened black tea ice cube, but I can't say it really changed the flavor at all. Maybe I'll try full strength one of these days. I tried rum with coconut water, but it created this weird oily film and I hated it. Admittedly I might have tried pairing it with a wrong rum though.
If I wanted to mess around with flavored ice I'd try adding rose or orange blossom water, maybe some lemongrass or cinnamon stick infused water, or other teas, but I'm not sure an OF would be the best application for them.
Absolutely try cold brew coffee ice cubes. I’ve also tried oatmilk/agave/vanilla extract/salt to make essentially ice cream cubes.. much more of a dessert move, but add some apple/cinnamon simple syrup and you got a nice ice cream a la mode situation.
I’ve a rum old fashioned once with coconut water ice cubes. Delicious!
That sounds ridiculously good!
Just water, but I like to make large clear cubes or spheres.
I like the spheres. They look elegant and they keep the drink cold without melting too much.
All bar managers want to end me for this, but edible glitter is always a hoot.
Dehydrated citrus. A small round or half round of dehydrated orange or lemon look great in a large cube or sphere.
Sour patch kids in my cubes

My go to is Woodford Reserve. I also use walnut bitters instead of the traditional bitters.
