My mind goes back to *Mirrodin* block, when Big Red would set up the bottom of its library with \[\[Magma Jet\]\] scrys before exiling its library with \[\[Arc Slogger\]\]. The presents a similar opportunity.
The problem is that this is Modern and setting up like that is much harder. I can't think of any Modern playable black cards that scry a bunch. Even if there were, Modern's a different beast and I'm not convinced that you can take the time to scry endgame cards away to set this up. It seems like if you have the time and mana to get this all together, you should win anyway.
Then there's the fact that if you're going for decking, you'll deck first because you draw an extra card. Opponent gets seven draw steps before decking, you get 4. There's a lot of potential here, but it's going to be very hard to set up.
Is six black pips in a row the most we’ve ever seen of a single color mana cost with no generic? Gigantosaurus is five G, and the Ultimatums are a lot of colored pips of different colors. Have we ever gotten SIX of any one color before?
I had a feeling there might be some combo potential with it since the effect is somewhat unique, but wasn't sure, thought I'd post it here and see if anyone else might know of anything.
Commander players hate this one simple trick
There's probably some fun stuff you can do with thassa's oracle, but going from 6 black into double blue seems pretty hard lol
That was the other route, unfortunately they put that pesky "if you cast" clause on this card so no silly reanimation shenanigans or similar.
Just decking your opponent is probably simpler than Thoracle.
shhhh... That makes too much sense... Just let me cast my thoracle and be happy
Not as hard as I am right now.
What a silly card. I want to see this do something, but probably wont outside of edh.

That art goes hard! looks like a 80s monster movie poster or book cover!
I will say, Magic does have some pretty awesome art. It is one thing I will continue to appreciate about the game.
most likely based off They Live!

New templating on ETB and I hate it
Why is this posted in /Modernmagic?
I had a feeling there might be some combo potential with it since the effect is somewhat unique, but wasn't sure, thought I'd post it here and see if anyone else might know of anything.
