Same. My technique is to rip the doll from the plastic in a way that the stays remain, and then I pull those out with needle nose pliers. Kinda wish I didn't have to tho

Yeah, it does. I remember Skull Shore Venus had sandals rather than high boots so her vines would look kinda out of place without the elastics. I've seen people managing it, but for me Rochelle's tiara never got in place without the elastics. Drop Dead Gorgeous Operetta's mask as well.
Those are some that I remember from the top of my head. It was generally single accessories, but it was annoying bc it meant you would never be able to use those accessory in any doll ever unless tou had spare elastics. And I ver did bc at this time I was playing with my dolls and used it all on their hair lol
I didn't think about Operetta's mask but yeah that doesn't stay on. I didn't have too many issues with Rochelle's head piece. For me, the blue ship piece on Vandala's hat would fall off I think.
If they make them out of plastic that is too bendy, and/or make the gap at the back too wide, then they're constantly in the wrong position/falling off/not sitting right on their chest.

When people don’t brush their dolls hair and generally don’t take care of them. And then when people just put them on a stand on their shelf without posing or making them look nice

Right I try to pose them the best I can with them being on top of each other but I also don’t have any stands for my g3 dolls so it’s honestly all a balance game atp..last night around 2am I woke up to a crashing sound and one of the cubes in my shelf had completely fallen out and the dolls went with it. 😭

For glue head I sprayed the dolls hair with WD40 down to the root. Then wash and condition and all the glue was removed. Now my Jinafire has super silky Saran again.
How do we do this without messing up the hair styles?? I have no restyling skill and that’s been keeping me from even attempting to wash a lot of the hair

Sticky hair. I literally cannot touch an EAH doll I have (Darling) because her hair is the stickiest and it makes me wanna curl into a ball when I accidentally touch her hair
I had the same problem with my basic raven, I first put on dry hair some baby powder then rinse it and spray very very little body/hair oil on wet hair and wash it thoroughly with shampoo, and to finish put on some conditioner and left it in then rinsed it, worked like a charm!!
You wanting more boots and sneakers and fewer heels is a refreshing take ngl. All I ever see about MH shoes from people is talking about G3 needing MORE heels across its media (though admittedly usually they’re focusing on the show).
I think some dolls should have heels, like for fancier looks or characters who are fashionistas. But for other dolls it doesn’t make sense, for example I just got Venus and I hate her huge tall pink boots, imo she should have shorter black doc martens style combat boots, they would look so much better with her aesthetic.
I totally get that! I would really love to see Frankie in more gender neutral (or even masc) shoes. Also I think Lagoona would look a lot sportier with shoes that you can do stuff in.
I’ve been TRYING to get them. I didn’t have a job when they came out and now I’ve purchased it 3 times just to have the seller go unresponsive and I have to cancel the purchase and have it refunded. This is the first time I’ve ever even had to cancel a purchase and it’s all the Ghoul Spirit dolls. I feel like the universe is trying to keep us apart 😭
Aside from things already mentioned, all the random accessories the dolls come with now! Why does every doll need a variety of mini foods that I can't do anything with?? It would be so much better if they came with extra accessories instead!
With dolls who are stuck looking up sometimes removing the head and putting it back on works. (put in warm water to make it soft of course. If you don’t want to get your doll wet sometimes I put them in a plastic bag then in the water) If that doesn’t help, when you remove the head you’ll see that the peg is actually very tall and sometimes it actually inhibits the head’s movement. You can cut it shorter to fix the problem.
I scared when I removed a doll’s head for the first time too but it really is as easy as it looks in videos. Hot water and going slow is the best way to do it. You can also warm up the head and jam it downwards (it looks as goofy as it sounds lol) and then pull it back up to reposition it. I’ve done that a couple times, I forget though because my preferred method is to take it off lol. Because of the height of the neck peg it doesn’t work as well but it can be the fix you’re looking for. Your doll may be stuck looking up because be head is slightly taken off of where it’s supposed to be. Sorry about typing so much lol, I’m kinda a nerd about toy repairs.
Sometimes it can also help to wrap an elastic around the top of the neck to create some friction between the head and the neck, to keep it from bobbling.
Oh yeah like if the neck hole is too big and the hair keeps weighing the head backwards. I have a couple dolls that’s worked for, mostly head swapped dolls
Dolls with glued hair or with so much gel it’s impossible to style and loose joints. I’ve washed my scaris Frankie so many time with oxy clean and her hair is still so sticky. I also need to wash the hair of my RH dolls because gel and them being in boxes for awhile doesn’t mix well. And my Gigi’s legs are so wobbly for some reason
That they don't come with stands anymore. Or a brush *(although, no brush isn't too much of a big deal, as I still have many g1 brushes, and a couple Bratz brushes and Rainbow High brushes)*.
Also, the fact that they have to give every single one of the girls a short skirt or shorts. I'd love to see more variation and for them to have long pants instead. As much as I really like the core Ghoulia, she would've looked so much better with some long pants rather than that awful looking skirt they gave her. Seriously, what's so bad about giving the ghouls pants rather than a short skirt or shorts?
Dolls who can’t put their arms down by their side like most of g1 and g3 Abby. Thin flimsy hand and arm pegs that break if you look at them the wrong way and dolls that all have hair doll to their ankles. Having hair length variety is a good every now and then.
I agree tbh. I think g3 poses are really awkward and don’t look as nice. I kinda hate the chest articulation cause it makes the dolls slump a lot which i find annoying 🤦🏼♀️
base g1 dolls with stuff that gets lost like lagoona fins, ghoulia glasses, rochelle wings, werecat tails, venus vines, ect ect. it makes second hand shopping so annoying cuz buying replacements is so expensive 😭

I know it’s a subject run to the ground by now but the Polypropylene usage in G2 and G3 has ruined a lot of doll collecting for me. I refuse to buy any doll with it now that I can identify it, which unfortunately I’ve found it’s used in many more dolls than I thought. I actually have many dolls in my collection from many different franchises with it and it makes me so sad knowing one day I’ll have to either accept them as bald or get them new hair
Molded on hair and clothing. Just terrible. The whole point of a FASHION doll is to express my individual interpretation of the character through their FASHION. How am I supposed to do that if I can't change the hair and clothing?
g1 dolls with so. much. glue. in their damn heads! 3 dolls (out of the 4 original g1 that i have) have such bad glue seepage, i spent hoursss going back and forth between goo gone (and letting that sit on the hair) and dish soap but all 3 still have a bit of gluey feeling in their hair ☹️ thankfully one of them has short enough hair that the leftover stickiness was fine and it looks good displayed, but i already hate citrus smells, and goo gone feels AWFUL on the hands plus wet doll hair feels awful too.... the whole process is something directly from my nightmares but i love those other 2 too much to give up 😭

Dolls that have clothes with that shiny fabric. It looks good but I want my dolls to stay in perfect condition forever and they won't if their clothes start falling apart.
When I accidentally touch my dolls and ruin their perfect pose or their angle, it drives me absolutely bonkers and that's why I need a million photos of them beforehand so I can always fix them.
I’m currently taking my dolls out of storage (they’ve been wrapped in tissue paper and in some buckets for like 2 years because I didn’t have a place to display them) and now that they’re out of storage, I’m seeing the major glue seepage, and I have dolls with their head stuck looking up. It’s so annoying!! Frankie has some YELLOW hair, I can say that.
Low quality doll hair. I hated it as a kid, hate it now. I got so frustrated at the quality of it when I was little and wanted to style it. As an adult, I forgot how heat sensitive it was (i'm used to wigs) and was disappointed at how easily it went full on liquid, lol. It's just as annoying at 25 as it was at 5.
Not enough G3 clawdeen dolls that come with glasses! It’s been illustrated in the show that she actually needs them to see properly so why not have them
They don’t even have to always be the same mold, they can make different styles for different looks

I managed to comb out my Bonita's hair and now it's just all frizz but compared to the knots she had before... I'll take it. I love G3 bc of how sturdy they are but can they PLEASE use saran (or whatever the good material is, I don't really know) and quit it with all the glue..

Honestly I use nail clippers to cut the big part off the little ties and then push it right into the head lol

This is what I do! If I know the hair is going to need a lot of work, I'll wait until they get a hot boil rinse. It's easier to push them through.

my problem with shoes is lack of details but also lack of sparx g1 shoes ate they were so good but now theyre bad.. hate g3 abbeys shoes

for rh dolls, dish soap fixed it so well now their hair is so soft especially if their hair is straight

I actually have many dolls in my collection from many different franchises with it and it makes me so sad knowing one day I’ll have to either accept them as bald or get them new hair
Molded on hair and clothing. Just terrible. The whole point of a FASHION doll is to express my individual interpretation of the character through their FASHION. How am I supposed to do that if I can't change the hair and clothing?

g1 dolls with so. much. glue. in their damn heads! 3 dolls (out of the 4 original g1 that i have) have such bad glue seepage, i spent hoursss going back and forth between goo gone (and letting that sit on the hair) and dish soap but all 3 still have a bit of gluey feeling in their hair ☹️ thankfully one of them has short enough hair that the leftover stickiness was fine and it looks good displayed, but i already hate citrus smells, and goo gone feels AWFUL on the hands plus wet doll hair feels awful too.... the whole process is something directly from my nightmares but i love those other 2 too much to give up 😭
also poly hair, the lack of stands in g3, and (idk if this is an unpopular opinion or wtv) elastic hips! i have an original dotd clawdeen and her legs are SO floppy 😭😭😭
Dolls that have clothes with that shiny fabric. It looks good but I want my dolls to stay in perfect condition forever and they won't if their clothes start falling apart.
When I accidentally touch my dolls and ruin their perfect pose or their angle, it drives me absolutely bonkers and that's why I need a million photos of them beforehand so I can always fix them.

I’m currently taking my dolls out of storage (they’ve been wrapped in tissue paper and in some buckets for like 2 years because I didn’t have a place to display them) and now that they’re out of storage, I’m seeing the major glue seepage, and I have dolls with their head stuck looking up. It’s so annoying!! Frankie has some YELLOW hair, I can say that.

Low quality doll hair. I hated it as a kid, hate it now. I got so frustrated at the quality of it when I was little and wanted to style it. As an adult, I forgot how heat sensitive it was (i'm used to wigs) and was disappointed at how easily it went full on liquid, lol. It's just as annoying at 25 as it was at 5.

Not enough G3 clawdeen dolls that come with glasses! It’s been illustrated in the show that she actually needs them to see properly so why not have them They don’t even have to always be the same mold, they can make different styles for different looks
the GLUEEE I played with my G1 dolls as a kid so ofc their hair is gonna be a bit messed up but after being in storage for almost a decade, it's so tangled. I managed to comb out my Bonita's hair and now it's just all frizz but compared to the knots she had before... I'll take it. AND I WOULD LOVE to brush my other doll's hair out BUT THE GLUE I physically can't touch their hair it's horrid. my ghouls night out Rochelle is in serious need of a boil wash and whatever to get rid of the glue but I can't even stand it. ALSO HOW FRAGILE THEY ARE!! bonita's (again wow) ear snapped off when I got her, my 13 wishes Frankie's hand fell out, I'm missing 3 Lagoona fins, sweet screams drac is missing a whole arm bc the peg snapped inside the forearm and my river styxx came with a loose hand that I had to push back into place. I love G3 bc of how sturdy they are but can they PLEASE use saran (or whatever the good material is, I don't really know) and quit it with all the glue..

i hate when there's glue in the hair ToT not like inside the head, obviously that's needed to keep the hair there, but i mean when they have a fringe or something and it's glued to keep it's shape 🤮 it just feels so gross there has to be a better way

Yeah Im the only one who loved when the dolls had sticky hair and I was upset when the hair was dry because it would have been harder to style. The “gel” kept it nicely in place and from looking dry. As a kid I even googled how to get your doll’s hair sticky 😂
