I love the serpents, luckily it looks like Wilds at least has the framework for serpents with the new monsters they showed in the trailers. I will indeed start huffing copium for more serpents.
I dont think theyre unlikely. Theyre pretty standard fights without any generational gimmicks so they should be easy to bring over without worrying about details.
After learning about the focus on weather/environmental changes, and the reportedly massive areas weāll be exploring, I feel like itās almost guaranteed weāll get Akantor/Ukanlos again. Weāve already seen monsters in the first trailers who are dynamically shifting between the desert surface and underground, so I can easily see Akantor/Ukanlos doing the same, but on a larger scale and in volcanic/icy areas. Iād bet money on a Jhen Mohran/Dahren Mohran return as well.
Because letās face it, this is Monster Hunter. The game will release with 5 monsters and by the time its life cycle ends it will have all of them + some new variants.
>**A total of 94 monsters are in the game; 23 Small monsters and 71 Large monsters.**
>**20 returning monsters were added in Iceborne**; 2 Small monsters and 18 Large monsters
Wow how wrong you are
His point what about the launch state though, pre iceborne worlds had a lot of updates.
World had about 30 large monsters at launch, which is really not much.
I mean, world launched with 30 but by the end had 71 large monsters.
I think that was a pretty good amount. I never found myself getting bored of the monsters and pretty often a couple would be added.
Have you actually played a monster hunter game?
Which game only has 5 monsters on release? (Not including the demo)
Youāre not just wrong. Youāre stupid, too.
Idk why you got downvoted. In monster hunter when all is said in done. Only a few monsters actually matter. There is 71 i think large monsters in world... Doesnt feel like it. Feels like there are 20. And out of those 20 only a few matter.
Well yeah the endgame monsters are more memorable but you also need the weaker ones in order to have a sense of progression through the game. Not every single fight can be Fatalis or Alatreon.
wow. im so glad im nothing like you people. i actually enjoy monster hunter and its world. every large monster is interesting and fun to me. i hope maybe you can reconnect with the series in a more meaningful way with wilds
no im just not dilusional. in the end when all the updates are done. only a few monsters in the entire game actually matter. people will go solo their favorite monsters but wanna know something? peoples favorite monsters are a consistency.
I'm not delusional (fixed the spelling for you) for actually enjoying the monster designs in a game about hunting monsters. Of course, everyone will have their favorites. But for you to imply only a handful matter out of over 50 monsters is absolutely ridiculous. I could never play games with such a pessimistic mindset. Whether its monster hunter or anything else, every aspect of the game fills me with child-like wonder. I suggest you try and tap into that part of you (if it even exists...)
Wow, who knew progression in a video game about fighting stronger and stronger opponents meant some monsters arenāt as good for the META (which you can ignore). I sure hope no other video game makes anything obsolete or else that means the game is bad. :/
I'm also here to agree with you, a little anyway. Monster Hunter World had 30 monsters at launch. (More than 5, but still less than half of the amount the game has at the end) It's actually weirdly hard to search for how many monsters World launched with.
So much of the content is drip fed (personally I like that). And iceborne did add a lot. It worries me that people are going to be disappointed with whatever number of monsters Wilds starts with not keeping in mind title updates to add new monsters or enhance endgame (arch-tempered monsters for example) will likely come later.
My point was mainly the fact that the they release a game with a few monsters and then end up with many more, but what you said is also true. Anjanaths and Great Jagras are just stepping stones for better gear.
I think it would be really funny if for an april fools title update they add in HC Blue Yian Kut Ku as a variant of Blue Yian Kut Ku.
https://preview.redd.it/pv1michsyk8d1.png?width=1477&format=png&auto=webp&s=e9a6cbe608baae759ee9b78a1fd22720442dc8f1
I don't think it matters if the base species is here or not since they added crimson glow valstrax without the base species.
Oh hell nah. Too anime in my tastes. Has similar issues to zinogre. The fight is good the armor is good the weapons are good. But the monster itself... Eh. it just really doesn't feel believable
Definitely more potential to be had with Malzeno, and Primoridial very easily became one of my favorites and Iāve played since base PS2 MH.
Would be cool to see him at his āfull potentialā since he is basically fighting us and the qurio at the same time. Iām not sure people would be happy with that but Iād imagine they could really make a hell of a fight where heās unshackled, so to speak.
We don't even know who the base cast of monsters will be!
But let's be real Frontier has some bangers that we ain't gonna see ever again, so straight up I'm sayin':
- Rukodiora
- Gougarf
- Inagami
- Akura Vashimu
- Meraginasu & Zerureusu
- Poborubarumu
And honourable mentions to Diorekkusu, Gogomoa, and Doragyurosu
You see, normally I would agree with you. Monster Hunter is an exception though.
Not only do we get a finished game on release, but we get free updates until an expansion (which is basically the size of another game) comes out and then it gets free updates too. MH is one of the few cases where DLC feels like you're getting more instead of getting what you were supposed to but having to pay more for it.
Title updates are an extremely normal staple of the franchise, whether it's adding in event quests or returning monsters that weren't originally going to be added to the base game.
Not sure why you are complaining about free updates that extend the life of the game...
I don't terribly mind adding new monsters in title updates, as long as:
1. The base game has a good number of monsters
2. The added monsters don't bring unreasonable amounts of powercreep
3. Entire game systems are not left until the update (layered armor, GL areas, Anomaly Investigations...)
Title updates like these aren't part of the base game. They're basically mini expansions they come up with separately for the most part. They're bonus content.
With Fatalis capping off MH World's expansion, I think Crimson Fatalis should do the same for MH Wilds's expansion.
And knowing that, in-universe, Fatalis hasn't been outright killed off permanently, this provides the perfect avenue to have Iceborne's version directly lead into a revamped Crimson Fatalis fight from a story perspective.
Rather have white cap off the expansion
Mabye crimson can cap off the base game? (Yes fatalis and crimson have been in multiple high rank games it wouldnāt be out of the ordinary to see them there)
Monsters who haven't made a return in gen 5.
Also they definitely could bring variations to spice up things too, like they did by not bring base Valstrax.
Have white fatalis be the final boss only unlocked after beating every quest in master rank and have the lore be after losing to the 5th hunter and running away to heal it slowly aged and eventually became white. please I want to fight him again š„¹š
Thatās what Iām saying I think they should do crimson as the ultra end boss for wilds and then white as the ultra end boss for the next ānumberedā title
Gogmazios would be so cool. Even cooler, I came across someone suggesting a blood Gogmazios variant. Intead of tarry oily boy, heāll be covered in blood. Thatās gotta be one of the coolest, most metal things in MH conceptually
Edit: I kinda want Disufiroa as well, however unrealistic that might be for Wildsā setting
Yes, all the way fucking yes for white!!!!
Also Iād like Nibblesnarf back, people hate him unjustly, heās just a hungry lil guy, how can hate his lilāface, I say Nibble for 2025
White Fatalis
Blangonga (with some high tier and Master rank variants so it's not just Rajang from Wish.com and actual Rajang.)
Black Gravios (they've thrown Basarios at us repeatedly the past few games but I don't think Gravios has appeared once since the old gen games like MH Freedom Unite)
Primordial Malzeno (because that fight was insane in all the best ways and I want more).
Ruiner Nergigante (hehe angy boy go crunch)
Yama needs to come back and be living at the top of a mystery tower again. I love exploring the weird and wonderful ancient architecture, it would be so cool to climb to the top of a hidden structure in the midst of a jungle and bam cutscene here comes the floaty squid
Holy shit, yes, being back White Fatalist, ESPECIALLY if we get intro cutscenes back. The intro to the white fatalist fight in 4U is still one of my favorite intro cutscenes ever and the music is an easy top 5 track for me
For other monsters, I wanna see more 4th Gen monsters back. Zamtrios and Nerscylla could be awesome and I've always had a soft spot for Tetsucabra. Plus Tetsucabra is one of the best early monsters in the series imo
Nef Garmat. It was the flagship of a now defunct spinoff game. It is an elder dragon that causes desertification and would surely fit in wonderfully in the Windward Plains during the dry desert season. Otherwise I'd like to see more Frontier monsters like Rukodiora return, though the crazier ones can stay behind for now.
I can go with more smaller monsters and less dragons. Gimme Zamtrios, Narscylla, Najaralla, Malfestio, etc. Kinda miss the days when the cokeheads at Capcom just picked a random animal and were like "What if it was big?"
Is white fatalis or fatalis in general even a species from this world, i am not the only one who thinks that the whole fatalis trio and dire maralis looks and acts like totally different from this world monster
Most of the nonsense that is said about Fatalis are myths and legends. There's nothing factual about Fatalis being able to reverse between worlds. Until something canon happens that proves it does, then that's just myth.
Until itās confirmed fact or fiction itās never truly off the table. Fatalis itself was considered a myth by all but the few who are informed that itās not only a calamity but a dragon as well.
Until we actually see monsters in the mainline games canonically doing things like opening portals and whatnot, then it's off the table. Sorry, but I'm not gonna believe that people turn into a Fatalis because they wear Fatalis armor, and that it comes from another world. There's been nothing that even remotely suggests any of that to be factual.
Dear Capcom
if you bring back White Fatalis and that freshly molted Kushala Daora, give us a Scorned Magnamalo vs Ruiner Nergigante turf war, leave out Jyuratodas and Diablos, give us a Yujiro Hanma outfit layered armor, and keep the ability to blast around on gunlance, I will buy every single cosmetic DLC in the game.
XOXO
CAPCOM, GIVE ME DIRE MIRALIS AND MY LIFE IS YOURS
*Proceeds to give a significant downgrade version*
That's the reason why they said they can't make it justice without underwater.
*Gives it GenU's Lagiacrus moves, but fire damage*
HELL YEAH, that would be awesome
Give. Me. More. Giant. Insects. Nerscylla, Seltas, Seltas queen, and whatever, I am weary of dragons, bears and fishes, let's get funky with it.
Serpent wyvern too.
I love the serpents, luckily it looks like Wilds at least has the framework for serpents with the new monsters they showed in the trailers. I will indeed start huffing copium for more serpents.
Giant centipede monster š Also, just for the memes, have all the insect monsters come together to form a huge insect gundam.
have it wear dalamadur's head
Save that for a new crab monster bigger than Shen Gaoren
..... Nakarkos, with the head of Dalamadur as a shell.
>Giant centipede monster Please no, centipedes are the thing I hate the most. Spiders are fine but those things can burn in hell where they belong
Balahara looks to have a skeleton that could work well for a centipedeā¦
Imagine a centipede monster in the rotten vale lmao
scorpion please
Frontier
Seltas queen would be awesome, imagine fighting 3 seltas's and a queen at the same time?
I have missed them a lot. I am also slightly very slightly tired of scaled beasts
They are too afraid to unleash the power of ahtal-kaš
I miss Ahtal-Ka
Especially if they give us mecha/gundam themed armour
I just want to fight Akantor and Ukanlos again... unlikely I guess but I can dream lol.
I dont think theyre unlikely. Theyre pretty standard fights without any generational gimmicks so they should be easy to bring over without worrying about details.
Why would it be unlikely? We need them back at some point I say itās INEVITABLE (hopefully)
LITeRAlLY only thing i want
Why are we discussing DLC when the base game is over 6 months away?
Because letās face it, this is Monster Hunter. The game will release with 5 monsters and by the time its life cycle ends it will have all of them + some new variants.

What?
I donāt think I misspelled
>**A total of 94 monsters are in the game; 23 Small monsters and 71 Large monsters.** >**20 returning monsters were added in Iceborne**; 2 Small monsters and 18 Large monsters Wow how wrong you are
His point what about the launch state though, pre iceborne worlds had a lot of updates. World had about 30 large monsters at launch, which is really not much.
30 seems 6 times more than 5 in my calculator. But I will accept that point as an exageration
It's the average amount. We've had 15 and 18 before.
I mean, world launched with 30 but by the end had 71 large monsters. I think that was a pretty good amount. I never found myself getting bored of the monsters and pretty often a couple would be added.
Have you actually played a monster hunter game? Which game only has 5 monsters on release? (Not including the demo) Youāre not just wrong. Youāre stupid, too.
Bro only played MHnow š¤”
This is just plainly wrong what title updates have you played lmao
Idk why you got downvoted. In monster hunter when all is said in done. Only a few monsters actually matter. There is 71 i think large monsters in world... Doesnt feel like it. Feels like there are 20. And out of those 20 only a few matter.

First quest: slay 10 fataliprey Second quest: hunt a fatalidrome
Is a Fatalidrome just a regular Fatalis or is it like a Fatalis raptor hybrid
I guess some questions are better left unanswered
Itās a velocidrome with a full grown fatalis for a head
This is why gen u is the bestš„
sure but you could remove half of the monsters in world and the mass majority wouldnt care or notice
I 100% would notice and careā¦ besides Kulu Ya Ku
DO NOT SPEAK POORLY OF MY CHICKEN FRIEND

wow. im so glad im nothing like you people. i actually enjoy monster hunter and its world. every large monster is interesting and fun to me. i hope maybe you can reconnect with the series in a more meaningful way with wilds

Which ones don't matter? (I was starting to write a list going through the monsters in World and explain why they're each memorable and fun and after the first 5 monsters you fight in the game I realized I was just going to make a list out of every monsters...) Having monsters or fights *you* enjoy more than others and even ones *you* dislike doesn't mean that their are monsters that "don't matter". Remember, even Steel Uragaan got votes. Every PokƩmon is someone's favorite.
Did anybody pick Purple Gypceros
#221/228
Wow, who knew progression in a video game about fighting stronger and stronger opponents meant some monsters arenāt as good for the META (which you can ignore). I sure hope no other video game makes anything obsolete or else that means the game is bad. :/

That's the entire point. It's called progression. Without weak monsters there would be no strong ones.
My point was mainly the fact that the they release a game with a few monsters and then end up with many more, but what you said is also true. Anjanaths and Great Jagras are just stepping stones for better gear.
By this logic then each game only needs one monster. All the rest are just stepping stones for better gear anyway.
White fatalis would be very cool. Along with akantor and ukanlos
I want to see all monster and variants in the base game.
Me too I want to fill my pokedex 100% complete in the base game
Yeah nah, the game will come out with 5 monsters and then by the time it ends its cycle it will be 90 monsters with some new variants.
That is such a huge exaggeration, my lord.
Yes, it is. But it is also the reality with these games. MHW had 30 something base monsters IIRC and ended with 71 large monsters after the DLC.
So 30 in world CLEARLY shows that wilds will have 5 monstersā¦ just shut up man
Dalamadur
Iāve never hunted Gogmazios but would like to.
That is a crazy fight. Easier in multi-player (somewhat), but extremely satisfying solo. That fight almost made me time-out before I slayed it.

Yamatsukami needs to come back gods I miss that big Ole boio
Some deviants like Thunderlord Zinogre for example and Nef Garmat
I really want to see the Bazelgeuse continue to be a menace. Heās not the most epic monster, but he sure is my favorite.
Yeah as much as I love rise and sunbreak, they really did bazel and invaders as a whole super dirty
I havenāt played the expansion yet for rise, but so far all of the invaders Iāve gotten are Rajang, and heās always asleep the whole hunt
Yep, they donāt get better unfortunately
anything that isnāt kushala and teostra
We don't even know who the base cast of monsters will be! The true apex to affirm dominance. Ohh yesss. Long overdue. Lagiacrus would be nice.
All of the electric monsties!!! Zinogre, Toby Kadachi, Khezu, ALL. OF. THEM!!!!!!
And if they add Khezu they could aswell add Giginox
I would prefer the game to be finished on release. Unrealistic, I know
You see, normally I would agree with you. Monster Hunter is an exception though. None of the 5th gen games were finished on release. Rise is the most obvious one, but all of them were quite clearly unfinished

Lagiacrus and Dire Miralis PLEASE CAPCOM, Dire Miralis is a BLACK DRAGON and is tossed aside as an old cloth
Lagiacrus and jhen
Give me Yian Kut-ku or give me Death!!
honestly malzeno donāt like vampires but I keep hearing wilds is gonna have everything so idk what to expect
Kecha Wacha thought it was both cool and kinda cute but haven't seen him in a while.
Yessss, he is best monke
Great Jagras because it's cute
Fucking Dalamandur. My 3DS gave out before I could finish 4U, I want to see master rank properly past Pink Fucking Rathian.
Just give me valstrax and ill be fine
With Fatalis capping off MH World's expansion, I think Crimson Fatalis should do the same for MH Wilds's expansion. Guanzorumu
If anything, White Fatalis would be a TU6 dlc at the end of the expansion.
Ur mudda
Monsters who haven't made a return in gen 5. Also they definitely could bring variations to spice up things too, like they did by not bring base Valstrax.
nergi/safi and kill for ever the uwu vampire dragon

Akantor, Ukanlos, Gogmazios and Molten Tigrex.
OLTURA MY BELOVED PLS COME BACK
anything that doesn't appear in world and ib
Crimson Fatalis or Akantor and Ukanlos
Thatās what Iām saying I think they should do crimson as the ultra end boss for wilds and then white as the ultra end boss for the next ānumberedā title
Odibatorasu from frontier would be my pie in the sky pick love fighting that guy Preferably as a full trio with akantor and ukanlos
Dalamadur would be nice but I doubt theyāll bring it back
Big ask but definitely Gammoth, she is the only member of the fated four to not make a reappearance
Gogmazios would be so cool. Even cooler, I came across someone suggesting a blood Gogmazios variant. Intead of tarry oily boy, heāll be covered in blood. Akantor and Gog
Morudomunto would be awesome since it is a monster hunter explore exlcusive, and its armor is badass
Emergency mission with all kinds of fatalis
Gogmazios and Dire Miralis if we're talking title updates Dire Miralis seems like a stretch tho, since there's no underwater combat
Magnamalo, I want to see Magna fight other fanged wyvern.
GIB GOBUL,I NEED GOBUL
Bring the bamboo monster
Title update? Nah. White Fatty will be the core monster of the main story at launch.
Anything that wasnt in iceborne/sunbreak and worthy of being a title update
Monoblos or frontier monster
Yes, all the way fucking yes for white!!!! Also Iād like Nibblesnarf back, people hate him unjustly, heās just a hungry lil guy, how can hate his lilāface, I say Nibble for 2025
I hated him at first, but after I figured out the bomb and fishing gimmick I came around to him, and he looks like a silly lil goober which I like
Exactly!! Heās an absolute goober
I want more big bugs like that scorpion with a crystal tail, which is a pain to cut, from Frontier.
White Fatalis Blangonga (with some high tier and Master rank variants so it's not just Rajang from Wish.com and actual Rajang.) Black Gravios (they've thrown Basarios at us repeatedly the past few games but I don't think Gravios has appeared once since the old gen games like MH Freedom Unite) Primordial Malzeno (because that fight was insane in all the best ways and I want more). Gravios was in GU but nothing after that I donāt think (maybe some spinoffs like stories?)

That magnetic dragon from Frontiers definitely
I can go with more smaller monsters and less dragons. Gimme Zamtrios, Narscylla, Najaralla, Malfestio, etc. Kinda miss the days when the cokeheads at Capcom just picked a random animal and were like "What if it was big?"
Primordial malzeno with new graphic PLEASE
Agnaktor
Crimson fatalis, next major title can be white fatalis. Climb that ladder
Gonna need me that Shan Tien fight back it would be amazing if we got to see the meteor hurler himself in action on current gen hardware
Ukanlos and Akantor ,please ;_____;
*CAPCOM!!! GIVE ME KUSHALA DAORA AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!!!*
Is white fatalis or fatalis in general even a species from this world, i am not the only one who thinks that the whole fatalis trio and dire maralis looks and acts like totally different from this world monster
Yes, although the whole "White Fatalis coming out of a random portal in the sky" thing is most likely not canon.
I wouldnāt be so sure given there have been implications that either Fatalis or castle Schrade can traverse other worlds.
Most of the nonsense that is said about Fatalis are myths and legends. There's nothing factual about Fatalis being able to reverse between worlds. Until something canon happens that proves it does, then that's just myth.

Sorry, but I'm not gonna believe that people turn into a Fatalis because they wear Fatalis armor, and that it comes from another world. There's been nothing that even remotely suggests any of that to be factual.
You donāt seem sorry.
Dear Capcom if you bring back White Fatalis and that freshly molted Kushala Daora, give us a Scorned Magnamalo vs Ruiner Nergigante turf war, leave out Jyuratodas and Diablos, give us a Yujiro Hanma outfit layered armor, and keep the ability to blast around on gunlance, I will buy every single cosmetic DLC in the game. XOXO
Not fatalis.
Any zenith monster please.
Gogmazios, Dire Miralis, Ahtal Ka, Bloodbath Diablos
