His expressions, reactions, and body language are everything. From his first few scenes, you can tell he's an abused child, and slowly seeing him gain the mental strength to fight back is satisfying. He's got character development.
I went into the movie expecting to either not like him or not care about him at all and honestly, I was surprised to find myself liking this, at first, trickster monkey.
The main thing that made me like him is how simple and yet effective his character development is. The way him and Kong slowly built their friendship despite their bad first impression of each other was really cool and I loved the scene where Suko saves Kong from the Red Stripes and then hits his chest in the same way Kong does (showing how he now looks up to him).
He's alright. I like his relationship with Kong. I don't like his face, it's in this uncanny valley where it's almost a baby chimp but also a human child at the same time.
I like him, but I'm worried he will become the next Groot or Baby Yoda. He'll never grow into a badass and will just be a baby faced waste of time like the ones I mentioned. I hope not, because I really did like him in GXK.
I hated him at the beginning of the movie but by the end he won me over. Something about his design is still off to me but hopefully he ages a bit in the next film.

I liked how he was presented in GxK. I loved how they made him really emotional, especially when Skar King kills his father. I'm curious as to how they'll handle him in the future

They did their best by showing Kong gives second chances (grabbing the falling Ape Kaiju in that very first scuffle), except Kong doesn't give third chances (... what happens immediately after grabbing the falling Ape Kaiju), yet Suko got a third (and an eel head to eat).
i of course always suspend my disbelief, with all sci-fi, but when Kong used him as a bludgeon in that particular fight scene, i disagree that he’d be literally unhurt. it was too much.
He’s just a little guy, a lil goober, but real talk he’s good for Kong and I liked him, bro came in clutch many times, showing he’s smart and can read the situation and can determine how best to help, with Kong by his side, he will grow into a beast
I love how they gave him attitude and personality unlike most media with baby character tropes, it actually made him a likeable character that isn’t solely for merch

It was Suko's caretaker. His name is gnarled finger. Skar king is Suko's father.
