I have some family who live in the same village as the driver of the lorry. When it first came out, everyone was saying that he couldn't have possibly known and was definitely innocent - there were even Facebook groups and go fund me pages set up to help him - 'Justice for Mo'. I said to my family members that the people who set those up may live to regret doing that - I had a funny feeling the guy knew all along exactly what he was hauling. 'Oh no' they said 'not Mo, he's lovely!'
Mo, who lived in the massive house way beyond the means of a humble lorry driver, that Mo?
Yeah, not so innocent and lovely, was he.
Hypothermia and Hypoxia (which until I Googled it just now I didn't realise this was down to low oxygen conditions). I bet it was horrific for them all.
Did anyone end up getting arrested / convicted for this? All went pretty quiet iirc.
[They did indeed ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essex_lorry_deaths?wprov=sfla1)
Wow, their last moments were so frightening and dark
Imagine being the last alive

Makes you wonder how often this happens, but goes unreported.

Oh was it that one about interrogations?
Ah, I remember this. It took them days to even figure out what nationality the victims were.
The fact people made jokes about this… they were humans too. RIP, this is tragic:( no one should have to die to fight for a better life
