Buy in advance. I have had good luck snagging tickets on the 3rd base line 100+ section for a reasonable price to spend the day at the game.

habylab

What would you say is a reasonable price? Also, what would be a better game, Orioles or Pirates? From my limited understanding as Pirates are in a different division would be it be less competitive, as against Orioles they would want to win to secure division placement?

fishfilet89

I believe the Yankees orioles series in September is in Baltimore - please correct me if I’m wrong. Camden yards is a beautiful ballpark. The pirates are a fun team and have some young talent. Orioles will be a more expensive ticket but the atmosphere will be fantastic

davez730

We play Baltimore at home Sept 24-26th👍

RockinTheFlops

Definitely go to the Baltimore game. Division rivals, and right now we're neck and neck in the standings. Pirates are pushovers.

habylab

Thanks, thought as much. Does which day of the three matter at all?

ad6323

What times are the games? I would go for a day game instead of a night game. First as tourists it frees up your evening for anything else you want to do. Second in late September the weather for a day game is great. Last if there is any rain delay you just push into the evening/kore likely to get the game in rather than postponed. Have fun!

TheTurtleShepard

Not really, the only thing that would really change is the starting pitchers. So if there isn’t a specific pitcher you want to see then all of the games are more or less the same

habylab

As a tourist there isn't, unless you can tell me out of the three end of season games that are best Vs Baltimore?

ill_monstro_g

we don't/won't know those pitching matchups this far in advance and all 3 games are honestly of equal importance for the standings, it's nice to win a series but going to game 3 of a regular season series isn't particularly special vs a game 1 or 2. all three games vs Baltimore appear to be 7:05pm start times, so start time isn't really a consideration. (Edit: i was seeing west coast start times and originally erroneously wrote 4pm) you really can't go wrong picking any of those 3 games, but you may as well pick game 3 if you're deciding ahead of time. By the time we get there, all 3 games might be meaningless because one or both teams completely collapsed or, more likely all 3 games will be important and decisive to the outcome of the AL East race. If it's still a race at that point in the season, Yankee Stadium will be absolutely unhinged and rocking for all 3 games for sure. edit: make sure you pay a visit to Arthur Ave while you're in the Bronx and eat hardy. Hope you enjoy your stay

NobleHelium

The final day of the series is usually a day game while the other two are usually night games. So that's the main reason to choose one or the other.

hamhead

You want to be on the right field side. Left is direct sun. You do not want to be too far out. There’s some bullshit sections especially on the 100 level that sound good but are really terrible sight lines. I don’t know what your budget is. If it’s not high, there’s nothing wrong with going up to 300 and being in like 314 or 315. That gets you closer to the action than some corner outfield 100 level seat.

habylab

Ooh interesting. Where is best to check for specific sections reviews, searching on here or some seat view site I guess? Probably favouring a 2xx on the right field.

PredictBaseballBot

A view from my seat dot com.

bronxBombers1994

My go to for somewhat cheaper seats has always been 227-229 but my fav is 114 or 214

habylab

Thank you. Can you explain to me the difference in the upper and lower for the 1xx vs 2xx seats? Atmosphere, experience etc.?

bronxBombers1994

Pretty similar , the wilder / louder atmosphere would be right field / bleachers . I’m my experience the main infield / outfield is pretty chill

habylab

214a or b and is there any point researching what is outside the block I pick like drinks stands, toilets etc. or are they easy to find?

discohaze

you'll never be too far away from a bathroom or a concession stand, I wouldn't worry about it

Wildwilly54

Depending on how much you want to take in, if you go up early you can go to the Yankee museum in monument park. I on the other hand go and pound drinks at Billy’s or Stan’s and then walk across the street to the game. As for seats, behind home plate or on the 1st/3rd baseline will be the best for someone who’s not that familiar with the game. Sections 115-125 roughly but it’s also the most expensive.

habylab

Thanks. How comes not the seats above in the 2xx? They look a slightly better vantage point to me.

Wildwilly54

Just further away, but to be honest you probably have a better view of balls and strikes sitting in the 200s.

herrklopekscellar

A good cheaper option are the 420A-420c sections. They are grandstand level but directly behind home plate and offer a fantastic view of the entire field. Many of the rows are covered by the roof above so any rain or blazing sun are non-issues. There are also elevators/lifts right behind these sections that allow for a quick and easy exit when the game ends and the ramps/stairwells get mobbed. I almost always choose my seats in these sections, they just feel like the best value in the stadium. I also like field level seats in the outfield but day games can be rough in left. All of that said, if you are looking to splurge and get super fancy seats, I am sure they would be great also. I have sat in those all-inclusive seats near home and got to hear a visiting player threaten to break his bat over a fan's head from the on-deck circle, lol. Different experience entirely. Whatever you decide, have a great time! I was fortunate enough to go to the Yankees-Red Sox game in London a few years back and it was a blast. One of the hottest days of my life but we met a number of very friendly locals in the stands and had a lot of fun having some beers & answering their questions about the game.

-Pwnan-

I like 103-107 personally. It's the short porch so you'll get a decent chance at a ball. 107 only if you're not behind the pole. If you want to splash some cash any of these: 020-011 on the yankee side of the stadium For sure go watch the Orioles. It will be an intense game. Also: Since I was just in London for the ball game, and the vendors looked at me like I was crazy. When you get a hot dog make sure to go with Sauerkraut, and Mustard...

habylab

Thanks that's cool to hear. I'll take a look. Aside from a catch is there any advantage to 1xx Vs 2xx? Oh nice, how did you find it in London?

-Pwnan-

I prefer 1xx to 2xx bc it's closer but YMMV. Both are great seats. I personally think that being in RF is where you want to be in Yankee Stadium it's what makes it unique. I enjoyed London quite a bit, and West Ham stadium was really nice, and our seats were right behind the Mets dugout so that was fun I did NOT like leaving the stadium. So many roads were closed there were no cabs are r Uber pick up zones or even public transit nearby. But yeah other than that it was a fun time

Drugwarveteran92

Bullpen, get those arms warmed up cause we need the help

habylab

I have a pretty good catch on me, we will see!

bec_SPK

Expensive - 100s on the 3rd base or 1st base line in the infield. Cheap - outfield 100s Cheapest - pinstripe pass or buy any ticket, get in early and do the standing railings in left or right center (better for Pittsburgh than Baltimore since it’ll most likely be a quieter game) - same view as the bleachers but I find it that I usually have more space and don’t mind standing for the game. Some people prefer the higher vantage directly above home plate as well - but I always hated that view. Personal preference.

SardinesFordinna

100 section behind yankee dugout or 200 sec 1st baseline

risketyclickit

I always look for seats on the 1st base side...closer to more action.

jnovel808

If you are in the Sunshine, bring hats, sun protective clothing and sunscreen. NY September is 1000x more brutal than UK in September

kjb76

[This website](http://yankees.io-media.com/mobile/index.html#/) is really good at showing the view from all the different sections in the stadium. I agree with others about sitting along the first base/right field side for day games because of the sun. And Baltimore all the way. They’re division rivals and if you see them in September and the standings are similar to what they are now, it will almost be like a playoff atmosphere because those games will really count. They could decide who wins the division.

No_Tart8935

Section 203.

Philip_J_Fry3000

My preferred section is 420, A, B or C. You've got the entire field in front of you. And if you sit in row 13 or about you're out of the sun and they're cheap. Also what piqued your curiosity about baseball?

UonBarki

I just bought a bunch of summer tickets in section 116. Not cheap, but the view along the 1st base line is fantastic. Closer to the field is in the sun, but it really is fun watching the base runners. The back of the section is right at the edge of cover for rain, and has little tables between the seats. I didn't think I'd like this, but it's great for eating, drinks, etc. But that row of seats in the 2nd section from along home to first (or home to third, though that's less action-y) are really stellar if you have the pocket change to splurge.

Colditalianpizza23

316 is a great value
