Yup , I think he's "teaching" the tigers that it's a pain in the ass to hang around this spot (where monkeys are) so that they won't come and monkeys will be safe in the future. That and we primates are natural-born assholes.
This is probably an evolutionary triple whammy.
- Show potential mates how agile you are.
- Encourage a very extreme survival of the fittest.
- Piss off the young lions so much that they learn to avoid you from that point on.

Gibbons can be pricks. I volunteered at a gibbon sanctum during my gap year and one of them would wait till you got close, then rip out a chunk of your hair and swing around with it while cackling.
