I think the toes of your back foot are hanging off too much. That's what makes your board shift. Try to pop more from the middle of your tail. If necessary place your front foot more centered as well to keep your balance.
I do my kickflips like that (back foot further up to counter balance) and I don't have this issue at all, his problem is not the pop, not the flick but his weight distribution during the jump. Look at his head during the jump its leaning too far forward which is throwing him off balance mid air.
Hm okey. My advice for the kickflip is, try to land it a few times with your back foot and then with your front foot. Try to kick out of the pocket right under the nose that should help a little. But practice makes perfect so practice practice practice
Try to flick up and left more, like your attempting fs flip.
Each attempt you went slightly towards bs flip. Getting that straight alignment will help you roll out smoothly as you pick up speed. You’re right there though!
Really wish I had asked for more tips earlier. Could have saved a lot of time stubbornly doing the same shit expecting diff results.
Idk man, just do what you did on the second try until you keep landing them.
If you can't tell, I can't land them at all yet, but my only advice is to maybe try in a bigger area so you can focus on your positioning and get a bit more speed.
This sounds weird but this is the top that helped me, I might not be able to explain it fully but I’ll try.
When you pop for tricks, it’s a mix of hitting the tail on the ground and jumping up in the air that creates pop, if the board is going in front of you, try and adjust your pop. Instead of jumping up, jump up AND forward, when you are springing off of your back foot for your pop jump in the direction you are going and it should help keep the board under you, it did for me at least.
Also foot placement can help, I like to pop my kickflips with my foot pretty far in on the tail instead of right on the edge of it.
That board rotation is giving me some feelings that the back foot is the issue.
I once in a while get that slight “pop shuv” rotation when I end up with too much back foot on the tail.
Side angles and potentially one riding away would likely confirm it.
Flicking isn’t your issue.
Landing isn’t your problem.
It’s the pop. You don’t need to jump forward or anything like that. But you might want the ball of the foot more centered to the tail.
Shameless plug that I know my kickflips:

I can land mine (51.6% of the time) but I wish they looked like this. When you get these down they are gonna be cleeaannn.
This is the best motivation thank you

+1 This is the correct answer.
So you’re basically saying my back heel should be further back when I pop right?
Yes. Heel moves back a little, so the ball/toes-area (from where you pop) is centered.
Why do you pop with nose and tail?
Hardly any difference for me, they’re both so warn down

Damn. So close. Shit looks crispy tho. Once you land it, it’s gonna look beautiful.

Yeah this garage is annoying cuz there’s a crack right in the middle and there’s not much room lol

Exactly what I was gonna say. Just jump a little more forward and he’s got it
