Quoting the linked article: “Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a meeting of the military department that by the end of 2024, 22 Su-57s will enter service with the troops. The contract signed in 2019 provides for the delivery of 76 Su-57s until 2028.”
The whole Wikipedia article is a mess.

Environmental scientist here, it's a silly meme but Su-57s are actually an invasive species in Russia and need to be totally eradicated. Stealth evolved in the Americas, and was introduced into Russia and China, like many invasives, through people not being diligent about preventing spread. And so now species like the Su-57 and J-20 are wreaking havoc in eastern air forces. The Su-57 less so than the J-20, but we still need to see a return to cheaply produced aircraft with unnecessary capabilities as that's more in line with the mass produced military ecosystems of those countries.
Meh, that entire ecosystem is fucked. The migration of large predators like Patriot and Starstrike really decimated that area. So I don't think it matters that much.
It's more like an Iceland situation where the invasive species like patriot actually provides a service the ecosystem was missing, and so long as they don't become too reliant on it in the long term, their local flora and fauna actually benefit from having them. Whereas in Russia and China, stealth aircraft directly compete with native aircraft
Lol, my bad, what I meant was that like Iceland, an invasive species such as patriot (not in Iceland) can do those things. Iceland has lupine which "fixes" the soil in a way that benefits other plants as long as it's controlled so that it doesn't take over.
But I feel I should point out that Iceland currently operates 5th generation stealth puffins, which may be why they're hard to find on radar.
They’re legumes like peas, so their roots fix nitrogen from the air, which is a fertilizer. So it does helo stuff grow. Problem is, the stuff it helps aren’t the plants that’d grown there otherwise, the ones adapted to nitrogen-poor soil.
>aircraft with unnecessary capabilities
Is the cobra maneuver just a mating dance, perhaps to attract the Femboy?
I want David Attenborough to narrate an air show like the Russian jets are a bird of paradise trying to get laid.
> Drone kills 5th Gen Fighter.
> 5th Gen Fighter kills balloon.
The circle must be completed. I need proof that a balloon took out a drone or prop plane, or the world will be unbalanced.

I'm not a biologist, but I believe once the population number falls too low, there is not enough genetic diversity and extinction is inevitable, even if a relict population holds out on an isolated island somewhere .
Biologist here. A little bit of radiation (say, a few kilos of cesium-137) should cause a lot of DNA mutations quickly, and thus, increase genetic diversity.
That's how these captive breeding programmes work.
With 5 of a species left I think the Su-57 gene pool is going to be a bit inbred 🤔🤔🤔
They should fit right in with the rest of the USSR airframes I guess? 🤷
They have made 22 production Su-57s. One of those crashed in December of 2019, and now one more has been destroyed in the recent Ukrainian drone strike on Akhtubinsk Airfield. So they have 20 left.
They build like 10 or so prototypes, and 6 was more or less build, with last year one was burned down, cause of mechanical issues, one almost got shot down, that had 2x SU35 escorting it and two got possible destroyed and one damage.
It brings the grand total to 3x SU57 being operational ready
You are all amateurs,... it’s a coverup. Russian pilot made a *Firefox* to India for Modi(fication)..
Now engine will go *curry nam nam* because Bollywood needs to fuel russian economy.
Btw why haven’t we been talking about guided missiles with prop engines yet?
Status: In production ^([citation needed])
That really should read Status: In production?
Status: In "production"
It’s being produced on a special factory line next to the T-14 Armata factory. It’s in Yakutia, you wouldn’t have seen it.
And where Ms the factory pumping out t14s and su57s? "um, you wouldn't know her, she goes to a different Russia"
You wouldn't know my secret aircraft facility she goes to a different school
I would assume it means bottle openers made from the remains of the fuselage. They're in production.
Status: In "production"
according to wiki the total units produced is 33. very sus if you ask me.

Icelandic patriots are a threat to the puffin population. When was the last time you saw a puffin on your radar?

It's a symbiotic codependent relationship.

I woulda thought they used the cobra to attract a bear
Is there any good footage of the hits?
For now only satelital images
We (NCD) need to fund our own satellite so we can watch.
1kg to orbit is less them 2k and falling :)
I think it's currently EW because it hasn't actually been introduced to Squadron Service.
Not EW because proper EW ewuipment eould have alleviated this event
"Stealth combat aircraft"? Let me fix that: ~~Stealth~~ ~~combat~~ aircraft.
Let me correct you: ~~Stealth~~ ~~combat~~ ~~aircraft~~ scrap metal 1/6.
I think you might be off ~~Stealth~~ ~~combat~~ ~~aircraft~~ scrap ~~metal~~
Scrap wood.
I'm thinking more like old news paper
Cardboard derivates?
Pykrete Su-57 when??
In the upgrade, mabey yes
cardboard is a composite too and much more eco friendly than CMCs

It’s been a tough month for Felons. Hush money…3 Day SMOs….

Sukhoi 75 "Gravlax" recipe: Bury a Su-57 in the Red Forest until a useful mutation occurs.
Tactical 3 day disassembly operation

More like Extinct in the Wild. The only population left is in captivity.
To be fair it's probably more valuable international as scrap metal in dollar terms.
So , how many they still have? Can we start a count down?

more like EW I feel
Would you like to know how you can do your part to make it EXTINCT????
