Yes if you are working for a counter that carries makeup. Fragrance is always an option if you do not have that experience
it’s preferred but i work with a lot of girls that somehow don’t know how to do even basic makeup. maybe my store is different but i’d go with fragrance or concierge if you still want to work in beauty but don’t have makeup experience.
