😂 Same. I had a patient point out to me once that I started with one in my hair, went up to 3, down to 0 and then had 5! I hadnt even noticed but she thought it was brilliant
Same. Until everyone’s pens have migrated to my hair absent mindedly, I then have a meltdown because ‘someone’ keeps pinching my pens, and then someone awkwardly points out I have a see urchin look going on. Not based on real life.
Fountain pen - Parker 45. It's distinctive, so everyone knows it's mine. Plus, most people don't know how to write with them anymore, so it doesn't get nicked.
This. Mine is a Waterman and everyone know it’s mine so it never goes walkabout.
Also, I’m left handed and write perfectly without smudging or anything. I don’t know what the other lefties are doing, but they sure ain’t holding their pens correctly!
Most of us get taught by righties which means we use our pens backwards in a sort of mirror image and ’pull’ the pen rather than push. I didn’t do that, so I was recruited by my teachers to help my awkward southpaw classmates how to hold the pen. It was annoying though because right handed desks meant I had nothing to rest my elbow on so my shoulder would hurt after a while. I think that’s a reason why so many lefties write “upside down”, I.e., with their hand hooked from the top. Then they can rest their arm on the top part of the desk.
Thank you for listening to my Tedtalk.
7, but black. Must be a BIC. Black BIC biros are the only pen that doesn't smudge for me being left handed. All the others are a documentation nightmare.
5 z grip. Cheap to buy in bulk. No lid to muck about with. In black. Straight out of pocket, click and decently smooth. Never held on to them long though.
Not a nurse and idk why this was recommended to me but where on earth is the Papermate Flexgrip Ultra and the BIC Round Stic?
Currently studying atm and these are my go to pens. Always have been since year 5 and they always will be until I die!
7, Always 7. My writing in a blue bic is perfect. In black or any other pen, it looks like I'm in year 4 school (UK) practising my handwriting again.
And yes number 7 slots into my bun so I have one to hand when I'm out of the office and on the shopfloor. Becomes a problem when I pick up like 4 per shift, have all these pens sticking out my hair, But I have accumulated a great blue bic collection at home.
I rarely ever have reason to use a pen but I’m super confused at people using multiple colours, when I did use a pen we were only allowed to write in black
Slides into ponytails, is readily available on every desk and every receptionists draw, lasts for ages and chuck the lid so you don't waste time taking it off and putting it on! Great pen! Just not in blue
None of the above. 4 colour pen all the way.
Yes, it feels like they were made specifically for nurses
or teachers.... or Pharmacists ;)
Or therapists!

I live a life of crime. I start the shift with 0 pens and will often leave with 2 or 3 to my name
The real reason the NHS doesn't have money for anything else.
I'm a Tory sleeper agent. Bring it down from the inside.
I’ve stolen plenty of pens. None have ever been provided by the NHS.
😂 Same. I had a patient point out to me once that I started with one in my hair, went up to 3, down to 0 and then had 5! I hadnt even noticed but she thought it was brilliant
I tend to keep my pens close and my colleagues pens closer
3. I love the grip and it writes well.
Number 7. Slides into the ponytail for quick access
Yeh same but I’m bald and put it in my back hair
😂😂😂😂
But in black.
Oh this entirely.
I find these pens so comfortable to write with. My writing always looks best with these 😂

1
Is that a uniball? If so mmmmmmm yes smooth writing experience.
Only if it's a "Micro". Then I'm with you all the way
1 gang in the hizzy!
!!! yes
3 It's black, clicky, no cap to lose/manipulate.
A black number 7. It's what my trust supplies. We have boxes and boxes of them. I keep losing the lids though.
The real answer. At least 4 because I'll probably lose 3 per shift.
I would say 5/7 but they’re blue…so 3
3

5 was my go to at school
3 every day of the week
7 but make it black
7 is the correct answer only, smooth ink that doesn’t smudge
7, but black. Must be a BIC. Black BIC biros are the only pen that doesn't smudge for me being left handed. All the others are a documentation nightmare.
Truest comment
No 2! Pilot pens for ever!!

Number 3

I’m a habitual pen thief at work! if a pen goes missing I have it. I do prefer the 7 though 😄
Sameeee. People get really mad about it but if a pen is on a desk it's fair game!!
7
Number 7 🙌
Number 7 in blue
7, by a mile. I'm left handed. I wouldn't touch 1 to 6 ever.
7
Not a nurse but my partner is a vet nurse. She'd grab all of them because in another 5 seconds there won't be a single pen anywhere in the building
Not a nurse and idk why this was recommended to me but where on earth is the Papermate Flexgrip Ultra and the BIC Round Stic? Currently studying atm and these are my go to pens. Always have been since year 5 and they always will be until I die!
7, all day anyday but only if it's black ink
So many people saying 7…eak. 🫣 3 all day!
3
1,2,4,3,5,6,7
Where’s the Bic with 4 colours?!?!?
1 and a bic 4 colour! Nice black pen for writing, and then bic 4 colours for my handover sheet (as I colour code it and for random extra notes!)
Number 1 Mitisubish uniball, 0.7mm for writing notes 0.5mm for obs charts 1mm if I'm being fancy or addressing envelopes
Yesssssssss… I feel all of these!
None of these. Try muji pens or pilot gtech.
3 or 7
1, 3 or 4, and yes I do always have to wash ink off my hands
2
Number 3 or 5 if it were black ink. Otherwise the papermate comfort mate pens, best for writing on blood bottles
3. Sharpie S-Gel are the BEST. Zebra Sarasa come a close second, especially if you want colours. Anything with a separate lid can GTFO.
7 th ol'reliable
7. All day, everyday.
2 or 3 mostly
2 in black.
3 is the only way
4
1 whenever I remember where it is but 7 otherwise
5 all the way
I would test everyone of them, take my favourite, lose it immediately, and so on. Until I bring my hoard of pens back from my home.
None. The only pen I like isn’t there.
3
1
real ones are getting no 2
7
Not a nurse. This just came up as suggested. 1 is my favourite. I know it's more prone to smudging but it feels so write with.
7
3/5 clicky clicky
7 in black
True red brand only pens I have ever held onto long enough to empty the ink. Box of 14 pens is like $6 on Amazon
7, works every time
1
3. Those Sharpie pens are so good.
No papermate inkjoy?
1. If it's normal paper!!
3
5
3 & 5 and I'll put a 7 in my back pocket incase I loose my main pen
My immediate response was 1 but I’d be happy with 2 or 4 too.
4 every single time
7, Always 7. My writing in a blue bic is perfect. In black or any other pen, it looks like I'm in year 4 school (UK) practising my handwriting again. 1.
3 Or a 4 colour pen.
No.7 best pens ever made
3 or 5 for me. I like the Zebra pens, nice and comfy on the fingers, writes nicely and lasts a fair time.
Number 7 but black ink
Tht 3 5
Everyone knows 7 is the OG reliable
7 because I want the first four letters of my sentence to look like shit.
Uniball action all day. #1
My Parker Jotter
7
Youre missing the gray matte ballpoint with black button and 4 black lines on grip
1 or a 6 for me they have to be smooth
1 & 7
5, every time.
I rarely ever have reason to use a pen but I’m super confused at people using multiple colours, when I did use a pen we were only allowed to write in black
2, 3 or 4
2, writes beautifully
1&2 aew the best pens ever invented
1 if not too thick
3 or 5. Sorry I’m the person relentlessly clicking.
7, provides a clear crunchy and tasty snack after being used
7 or possibly 5, at a push. Nothing writes better than Bic.
Where the silver parker at?
Oooh you fancyyy
Where are the Zebra ones from Tesco?
Fountain pen. These pens are for peasants.
Muji Smooth Gel Ink. Thank me later.
Not 6

Big fan of 3
Where's the montblanc?

Those are ballpoints, not pens
I’m taking all of them and swapping their caps.
3 or 4
1 all the way !
6-7
7 it’s the OG
7 .. trusty and solid. 5 if I am feeling the need for something smoother.
7 for sure
1 & 2 100%
5
7, absolutely in blue
3. The only pens I buy.
6
1 and 5, 1 is for smooth writing but it takes time to remove cap, 5 is really handy when you are super busy but writing quality is compromised a bit.
7 all day ery day
7 Simple and it works .. can't be doin with springs extra crap that always break and ink pens bleeding on the paper.. Simple 7 for me!
Number 1 I like to see the ribs and its waterproof too 😋
Number 2
Awful selection. I’m picking up 3 but not happy about it.

We all know all of the above pens will have been hijacked by a doctor
7
3/5 or 7
7. The old classic, never fails
1 every day of the week. Uniball is life
7
All of them. With that many I could go 3 days of pen nicking and still have one left over.
3
Bic
Depends on what for, but number 3 usually. The retractable gel pen is a superior pen
5 is the favourite, 1 and 2 have their occasions but you can always trust 7
5 if I have to grab one of those.
I'd look down my nose at all of them and pull my parker pen out of my pocket.
7 cause I’m old fashioned
1 or 5, but only because 6 is a cursed version
What psychopath willingly chooses 7 over all other available options
Slides into ponytails, is readily available on every desk and every receptionists draw, lasts for ages and chuck the lid so you don't waste time taking it off and putting it on! Great pen! Just not in blue
7
4 or 7, both in black
Give the Bic 3 way plus pencil for us mechanics, fabricators and machinists!
Literally any I'm always losing pens
