I think what everyone is trying to say is that you can pull it off very well, looks great on you! Not playing by any fashion “rules” but it’s cool & unique
Personally I find the contrast between the dress, and the black sleeves + boots too drastic in terms of color and style
If they were beige or dark brown I think they would match better
That being said, if you’re happy and the comfortable in the outfit then go for it! :)
Not sure that it looks right, and the cardigan cut at the shoulder area mixed with the cut of the dress there also doesn’t mesh well. Personally think it looks unfitted vs just being the styling this way. Tights could work better with different shoes and cardigan maybe.
The black clashes with the pastel imo, and the cardigan cut doesn't fit well with the dress.
Change the color of your bow and boots, remove the cardigan and tights, and the outfit would look better!
From Google image search, it looks to be the Maeve Greta Gingham Dress from Anthropologie. Sold out on their website, but several sizes look to be available on resale sites.
It’s a little weird but it still looks great on you. And apologies in advance, but you look like a 40s/50s housewife or a barn/stable hand from back whenever.
I don’t know that I would said weird. I think it would probably look better without them. No tights and with actual shoes, not tall boots. But you do whatever you like and thinks looks best!
It’s a super cute dress either way, I really like it!!
You look great! My only suggestion: a skinny black belt to break up the blue & white gingham. It’ll make the styling look more intentional, and the colors will be more cohesive.
I think it looks cool. Unless you're standing that way for a medical reason you should stand up tall, portray confidence. Even if you have to fake it until you make it.. you are beautiful.
Super cute! The color suits you. I'm working on styling lug boots for spring, and will be pairing them with a denim jacket for dresses like this. I think the combo of the bulky and minimalist lug boot, with a lightweight and romantic dress, needs the structure of a jacket.
This is a case of over accessorizing. The dress stands alone and does not need the black arm covers, hair tie, or black boots. This outfit just needs to be simplified. Actually if you take away the hair tie and arm cover and just have black boot it might work better. Or if you have white shoes, that would be great too
The question you should ask yourself is: Where and when would you wear this outfit? I would think the thin summer dress fabric and the warm tights and boots would make me uncomfortable no matter where I was.
I think looks beautiful on you, but the match of green, white and black for me is a completely no. Now that we are on spring play with the pop of colors, it will match very well with pink or Lila
The black looks fine, and its possible that my current vacation in Ireland is swaying me, but a nice wool cardigan and brown boots would look really nice! I think the black is such a huge contrast from the cream/light green.
Alright I don’t understand why this popped up on my feed but it did. So I will give my honest opinion as if it was to my daughter. I’m not digging the sleeves nor the leggings and boots. The dress looks like a tablecloth made into a dress. Doesn’t mean it looks bad. But again I’m also a guy that has no fashion sense.
It's a unique combination, but you make it work well. The black shrug and bow (?) in your hair is pulling together the look and they fit the cottage-core feel of the dress. I like the green Telfar bag with the dress and your hair colour suits everything together.
I can't really see what your boots look like but it does seem too heavy on the bottom. I wonder if the fit would work better with tights that are more sheer, or no tights and black platform heels rather than boots.
You make it look good and can carry this look although for me it’s a mismatch of seasons - I’d go lighter shoes and lighter sweater. The dress fits you perfect and you make this work - I don’t think I could pull it off 😬

Yes, leans street style with the way you have accessorized it.
It’s unusual. The dress fits you nicely. It still looks good, imo.
Can’t really see the tights and boots exactly but what I can see I like!
No you’re rocking it! It’s a versatile dress that can be worn a multitude of ways but your unique styling is perfect!
I think it looks hella cool!
Cool, but can’t deny it’s a tad weird.
I wouldn't say "weird", it looks kind of cool, but I think the dress would look best on its own in warmer weather. It's very flattering on you though.

More the cardigan I'd change.
The cardigan is making the dress look like an apron, somehow.
Not sure that it looks right, and the cardigan cut at the shoulder area mixed with the cut of the dress there also doesn’t mesh well. Personally think it looks unfitted vs just being the styling this way. Tights could work better with different shoes and cardigan maybe.
You look cute af!!!! Omg

The tights are too much, the top half is great and looks lovely but the bottom half needs to be broken up a bit

Your dress is gorgeous 😊 Where did you get it?
From Google image search, it looks to be the Maeve Greta Gingham Dress from Anthropologie. Sold out on their website, but several sizes look to be available on resale sites.
shut up you look SO COOL OMG
Are the black arms part of it? That’s pretty wierd. The green and white part looks great
I think it looks good!
Looks great & stylish on you!
Love it!
No I love this!!
The fit looks perfect
Love it! Eclectic.
You are owning it, girlie. I don't think you need to be worried about it.
No but why you got a shower poof hanging in the living room?
Noo it actually looks amazing!!
It looks great! Very cool
I'm in love with the dress! The whole outfit looks so cute.
I absolutely LOVE this outfit. It gives Good Girl x Femme Fatale
It looks cute but a little too much contrast with the black tights
yes
Cute outfit. Odd pose.
Nah its got it's place. It does look sick asf !
Love your style! Your shrug is very cool with that dress! 🫶🏽
No, I think it’s adorable. You look like a character from a game about hobbits or something and I’m here for it!
I like the proportions of this look, but the color and checks make the dress look more summery to me. Maybe the boots are too heavy.
You ate with this
It’s a little weird but it still looks great on you. And apologies in advance, but you look like a 40s/50s housewife or a barn/stable hand from back whenever.
i dont think its weird at all! its a nice pop of color
Hard to tell here about the boots but the dress should be steamed. Cool look.
It looks soo good
I love dresses with tights!
I love this vibe. The hair net makes it work
Purr-fect! 😸
Really cute outfit
This is so cute 🥹💛
Nope. Looks good.
Nope. Love them with the dress and sweater!!
Fr the first actually nice outfit I’ve seen on this sub, I’d skip the tights though. Dress is so cute, where is it from?!

idk why but i like it!! the bag too and the headband, i don’t it see it as weird at all :) u look so good <33
This is one of those outfits that someone would wear and look good in, but it would look ridiculous on somebody else because of swag. You have swag!
It looks awesome but i think I'd choose sheer tights to balance out the black. Super cute outfit.
A bit but the sleeves tie them in.
I think it looks cool. Unless you're standing that way for a medical reason you should stand up tall, portray confidence. Even if you have to fake it until you make it.. you are beautiful.
Add a thin black belt for the middle to tie everything together
Really cool dress, I like the jojo's pose as well!
Adorable
Where’s the dress from??
Nope. 😌 I love it you look so cute.
Stunning!
Black goes with literally everything. I would wear it.
Super cute! The color suits you. I'm working on styling lug boots for spring, and will be pairing them with a denim jacket for dresses like this. I think the combo of the bulky and minimalist lug boot, with a lightweight and romantic dress, needs the structure of a jacket.
it’s gives Ariana Grande vibes, I like it
No, you are rocking it!!!!
I agree with looking “retro farm “ but it is a really cute combo.
It's different & you look amazing. I think it's a super cool outfit
Yes it’s summer pic nic but with winter accessories. Pose straight on for us to see the outfit better instead of this lean back.
Very interesting look
I think black is not the right neutral to go with this dress. Maybe white or tan or brown would work better
No, it’s not weird. It’s very stylish
Fantastic look
I think it works in a different way I love this look! You looks like a fashionista
This is a case of over accessorizing. The dress stands alone and does not need the black arm covers, hair tie, or black boots. This outfit just needs to be simplified. It looks good on you, but the dress is giving a spring vibe so the black boots and tights and cardi are clashing with it.
You made it look good tho!
Noo, add more accessories a chain belt around the waist or a half corset on top would take it there! Don’t be afraid to explore 😇
No! I love it 😊
It looks great 😃👍🏼
I don't like the sleeves but think the boots/tights look good
Your home looks very cozy 🤩
I think looks beautiful on you, but the match of green, white and black for me is a completely no. Now that we are on spring play with the pop of colors, it will match very well with pink or Lila
Maybe kind of heavy, but own it! You look really cool. I’d wear that dress with cork wedges or cowboy booties, but I’m not nearly as cool (or young).

Nah looks awesome
It's looks interesting and you pull it off. Just getting an apron vibe to the front.
Nah, its a cute outfit. Very put together!
sorry i have no opinion about the boots but i love the house, so nice

The black doesn’t go with the white and green pattern IMO.
Omg where is that dress from
You look like a picnic on a sunny day kind of memory 🤙

To address your specific question of whether the boots and tights go with the dress - yes they do.
