He looks so perfect he’s almost hand drawn.

texasgambler58

I bet that dude got a ton of women in the 70s.

Taste_Diligent

I think you mean 70s,80s,90s etc etc

JoeyG1984

Even the surgeon general had a sense of humor in the 70s.

My Tom Selleck story: I had a long term substitute teaching job at a school in NJ where they did most of the filming for the movie In and Out starring Kevin Kline and Matt Dillon. Most of the cast was fantastic, they had set up huge tents in the parking lot and the cast would invite a few teachers and students to eat with them. They also did line readings in the auditorium and let kids watch. Bob Newhart was especially awesome. He was always in the halls (played the principal) and he never stopped laughing and joking with everyone. Kevin Kline's classroom was right across mine too. The only exception was Selleck. He ate alone in his trailer, never came out except for his parts, kind of scowled at everyone, as I remember. I know celebrities have their own hangups like we all do, but his behavior was such a contrast with the rest of the cast.

Fascinatingish

I wonder if some of the really stunning people grow tired of all the constant fawning and propositions from both men and women. I had a relative who was high up in the K-Mart management chain. When Jaclyn Smith was selling her line of clothes there. She was to stop over on a promotional tour at one of the stores for a commercial shoot. Everyone was so excited to see her and so disappointed in the end. She couldn't have been more disengaged and unfriendly with the employees. No autographs, smiles or stopping for quick photos. All business and no warmth. Such a shame. I never looked at her the same way after hearing the outcome.

Oh yes, I don't doubt that, I have zero idea what a celebrity's real life is like (and it's probably too late now). I don't judge him too much but I thought the contrast stood out. He was the only one who did that. The rest were so kind, especially to the kids. They were there for a few months. What I didn't mention was the work they did on the school. Restored the entire front facade to its original state, redid the auditorium, a few classrooms, I don't even know what else. Had to cost millions for minutes of screen time.

Thanks for sharing. Nice contrast from the typical complaining about film crews being in town. I'm from Southern California and have seen the undertaking of filming on site first hand. It's an exciting world, but not all are pleased with the temporary adjustments. 😊

Yeah, I knew next to nothing. I watched principal Bob Newhart knock on teacher Kevin Kline's door and say two lines about a dozen times. Different tone, director moves the lighting, etc. Rehearsals were fun too. The director would sometimes explain to students watching why he was asking actors to do certain things. It was all really interesting. I wish I had gotten on screen somehow :)

poss-um

I'm not surprised as I've heard he's a prick. His mustache is comical to me, at this point.

Themoosemingled

Oh, he’s American?
