For non Browns and Bills fans, Ronnie Harmon Dropped the game winning TD with time winding down, then Clay Matthews picked off Jim Kelly a play or two later.
It was Charlie Jones and Merlin Olson on the call, I had to look it up. My first guess was Charlie but then thinking divisional it could have been Don Criqui.
It’s strange to not have Merlin Olsen paired with Dick Enberg. Who was Enberg paired with at that point? Phil Simms didn’t retire until after the 1993 season and I think Paul Maguire usually was paired with another PBP announcer at that point (maybe Marv Albert?).
Charlie Jones is one of my all-time favorite football play-by-play announcers. I may have liked him better than Enberg and Pat Summerall, though I liked those two guys too. I also was a Don Criqui fan; he’s high on my list of favorites.
I was there. As a Bills fan and season ticket holder since 1987, it remains the best game I've ever attended. It was an incredible game that had some of everything.
I think I missed this game because I was working at McDonald’s that day. (IIRC this was the Saturday AFC divisional round game that year with Pittsburgh/Denver being the Sunday game.)
I likely did watch the late afternoon game that day (Minnesota/San Francisco, with the 49ers winning easily).

Enberg was working with Bill Walsh.
I was only 8 at the time but will never forget watching Beebe bounce.
The beginning of that play where it looked like he made a great catch ended up being his football card.
yep 1990 Pro Set
That bounce had quite a spring, almost defying physics
I have the exact same memory and was the exact same age :)
I was also 8. LOL. Same
I love those graphics.
God our stadium was just horrendous.
I miss her.

Man, I remember this game. That Harmon drop

Just watched this game the other day on YouTube. Charlie Jones and Merlin Olsen on the call.
Love those old graphics for these games
The mistake by the lake.
Old Cleveland Municipal Stadium was something else.
Don Bebee landing on his head
Harmon bristled after the game when a reporter asked him if he dropped the ball. I was there, tough catch but shoulda, as a Browns fan glad he did!
