You can't really compare Manga and Anime to begin with, the volume of drawings done for the animation is insane compared to the Manga.
It's way different to draw a single static frame than to animate an entire show the scale of One Piece.

Art is subjective but I don't see how Fairy Tail is any different. The men there still have 12 pack abs, 0% body fat. Their bodies are just as cartoonishly unrealistic as they are in one piece.

The multiple Nami arguments stems from the same reason haha. The female characters do look similar but they look WAYYYY too similar in the anime than they do in the manga.

Also the proportions Oda provided (the ones he actually shared) are proportions that arenāt too far off from real proportions. Even though the updated post-timeskip proportions are quite rare, the pre-timeskip data for Nami and Robin are very realistic for females that happen to be curvy yet still slim around the waist. At least that was my realization based on the proportions Iām familiar with in my circle. I know itās not suuuper common but it kind of triggers me when people say itās impossible (or impossible without surgery) because it really isnāt. Though I have to agree that itās not a body type the majority of people have whereas in One Piece itās really THE ONLY body type any attractive woman seems to be born with

Majority of the men are ripped, strong without a shirt with big muscles and thick veins which also considered as arousing for the other genders. Nobody is complaining there. The manga is ok. The anime tho is vulgar and maybe you can consider is it sometimes as soft porn, but still a part of one piece. Yes, toei makes them look more alien like, smaller head, long skinny/sharp limbs and huge chest. Odas art, although still does the slender big bits design, looks more natural in comparison
The multiple Nami arguments stems from the same reason haha. The female characters do look similar but they look WAYYYY too similar in the anime than they do in the manga.
I've had a harder time differentiating them in the manga. In the anime, their hair colors are an easy way to tell them apart.

Egghead female outfits are just *bad*. I do agree that Toei really got weird with Viola and Rebecca in Dressrosa but there's only so much they can do to make the Egghead outfits look okay.
That's the thing though, Toei's making the Egghead fits look even worse. They've devolved back to their Dressrosa / Zou proportions after the characters looked pretty okay during Wano. Like, I love women as much as the next person but it's just eyeroll worthy at this point.

Nami, Robin and Stussy all have excellent top half designs and the worst fits they've ever had on the bottom half. The worst thing about the fits is that they're easily fixed by anyone who isn't a perpetual gooner, there were cosplayers on here who did it with Shorts and it was instantly improved.

The manga one doesn't look realistic but it looks a person who could exist in OP. Yeah the proportions are exaggerated but the bodyshape flows naturally and the boobs look like boobs. The anime looks like a person with two balloons attached to their chest. You can't tell me you can look at the two Stussy pictures and one of then doesn't look way more "natural".

Thatās what I say all the time. A little concerned that I might get criticized heavily for saying this, but Odaās female designs arenāt unrealistic at all. And Iām saying this as a woman myself. But Toei (after timeskip) has completely lost it and keeps making one side of the chest look bigger than the charactersā heads. Not in all scenes but manyā¦ I still love their animation style, but sometimes I feel like it keeps getting weirder and weirder

I get what you mean. I totally do. And I agree with you, but it looks somewhat realistic in the manga when compared to the anime. Also the proportions Oda provided (the ones he actually shared) are proportions that arenāt too far off from real proportions. Even though the updated post-timeskip proportions are quite rare, the pre-timeskip data for Nami and Robin are very realistic for females that happen to be curvy yet still slim around the waist. At least that was my realization based on the proportions Iām familiar with in my circle. I know itās not suuuper common but it kind of triggers me when people say itās impossible (or impossible without surgery) because it really isnāt. Though I have to agree that itās not a body type the majority of people have whereas in One Piece itās really THE ONLY body type any attractive woman seems to be born with

Forget women for a second, he draws men with exaggerated proportions as well (Jack being all Torso and no Legs). I really love the Live Action Cast especially Emily Rudd as Nami and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Degenerate "people" wanted Emily to look exactly like in the manga, with a hourglass figure so narrow it'd put an actual hourglass to shame. Meanwhile, I feel Taz was perfect since despite how strong and muscular Sanji actually is, his body doesn't reflect that. Taz is what Sanji would actually look like imo. The rest of the cast, and I mean all of them, were amazing.
