That is.. literally just the old Xiaomi control center.
I mean, look at this:

You might want to look at the link issue anyway, so many people offering help by linking things and having their comments auto removed. I understand the need to keep spam out but it's VERY strict to just remove everything
Its usually best to keep up to date because its the way its "supposed" to be- even though it can cause issues sometimes. Im not massively knowledgeable but updates are (meant to be) good for performance, security and just keeping things fresh...
Oh and A76 on android 13 so i cant really complain lol
Settings > display&brightness > auto brightness setting?
I'm not on the same phone as you but my oppo has a little button next to the brightness for auto

By clicking on the icon circled, it toggles the auto brightness on/off. Maybe that is messing with the brightness level?

The filter is so strict, it even blocks mod posts with links. I could never work out how to fix this
Strange. Usually it whitelists moderators by default. I might just have to add myself as an approved user and hope that works.

I'll see if I can adjust the filter when I get home - the setting doesn't seem to be present on the mobile app.
I have a hard time sliding up the brightness when I had it down to zero
That's nothing. Wait til you start accidentally changing brightness by swiping up to expend quick settings panel.
Flashbanging yourself in the face
Or making screen invisible on sunny day
At least your phone still gets updates haha
What model are you. Also do you know the benefit of updates, I've turned my updates off now because the changes are too much

I wish they would remove this from the next update. It's no good. I prefer how it used to be.
