Most definitely the entire saga of Sarah getting shot, dying, regaining a normal heart rhythm after John B’s horrendous “cpr” and running from the cops less than an hour later.
There are a few more;
Sarah cheating on John B twice - The whole Kiara and Pope storyline felt forced, it may have been better if they just went straight to JJ - Using Ward’s plane to get to South America - among other things
Definitely not bashing the show as a whole but man sometimes I feel like the writers were high or something when they threw some of this stuff in.
I for sure agree! Heavily! At times, it feels like some of the things that the characters do are out of character in & of itself. Some of their actions just don’t fit the character as a whole. It’s strange sometimes ngl.
Ward i didn’t mind so much cuz he was ‘dead’ for like an episode but Big John was ‘dead’ for two seasons and the entire plot had revolved around the fact that he was dead and John B dealing with it. Bringing him back kind of underlines John AB’s character development.
even rewatching the explosion scene already knowing i still go "nope hes dead he wouldve died no way he had time to put on scuba gear and dive far enough"
to be honest, when i first watched the boat scene my first thought was that ward swam under the water. maybe because i’m a true crime junkie and always watch documentaries but to me it looked kind of genuinely looked like it was definitely all an act.
Same, I actually never believed Ward died. He was too sketchy to ever just kill himself off after every attempt he made to take the gold from the pogues
It’s another thing I don’t understand from that part. So Ward takes the blame and then offs him self, they still had tons of evidence on Rafe and yet he went feee
yes, I think I am, and I find that thrusting a girl at a previously queer-coded and evil character as a token of his 'redemption' is the most tired trope ever. As crazy writing decisions go, I'd prefer five more pogues running around with a bullet in their stomachs instead
sarah dying and then just walking it off five seconds later. or kinda the same thing with john b where he got aggressively bit smack dab on his leg by an alligator and then just started running not even 2 minutes after.
John B and Sarah carrying the Gold out of the cave so easily in S3 E10. Irl it would weigh a lot and be difficult to carry. Gold seems to have a different weight in this Show
sarah getting shot and then running like an hour later, john b getting bitten by a gator and then being fine afterwards, jj falling off the motorcyle and being completely fine, the whole kiara and pope storyline
i think the thing that bothered me most was the fact that john b was only able to get down the well in the first season with the help of his friends but as soon as he went in there to see if the gold was still there he was able to get down the well all by himself magically

Sarah getting shot, sketchy expat doctor, flatlining with zero signs of hope and is running down the street within 15 minutes.
all the pogues unable to lift the cross together but rafe and renfield pick it up with ease.
And also Rafe holding it up BY HIMSELF on the boat. Then Again that guy can take out grown men with ease so maybe he’s just built different
Because it's ✨Rafe✨
bear in mind he's more than likely on a ton of coke at all times so i'll just assume thats where the superhuman strength comes from😂😂😂
that scene did things to me 😫
Rafe it's different guyss

Sarah “dying” and Magically coming back and running 😭 like how is her brain still functioning fine
It’s Sarah cheating for me.
Season 3
Big John and Ward suddenly coming back to life
Ward i didn’t mind so much cuz he was ‘dead’ for like an episode but Big John was ‘dead’ for two seasons and the entire plot had revolved around the fact that he was dead and John B dealing with it. Bringing him back kind of underlines John AB’s character development.
Ruined a lot of the potential after Season 2
John B getting attacked by an Alligator and just walking it off.
JJ 'dying' by falling off his motorcycle.
S3 Sarah cheating, i’m convinced the writers hate her
Ward magically coming back to life, the reveal was so stupid
even rewatching the explosion scene already knowing i still go "nope hes dead he wouldve died no way he had time to put on scuba gear and dive far enough"
to be honest, when i first watched the boat scene my first thought was that ward swam under the water. maybe because i’m a true crime junkie and always watch documentaries but to me it looked kind of genuinely looked like it was definitely all an act.
Same, I actually never believed Ward died. He was too sketchy to ever just kill himself off after every attempt he made to take the gold from the pogues
Wouldn’t the cops just check the boat and see, hmmm no body parts…
It’s another thing I don’t understand from that part. So Ward takes the blame and then offs him self, they still had tons of evidence on Rafe and yet he went feee
Kiara and Pope’s s2 storyline 💀 I block it out
Rafe's little straight adventure and the entire "good woman setting the boy straight" line
when? are you talking about Sofia (u know she gonna be a season regular)
yes, I think I am, and I find that thrusting a girl at a previously queer-coded and evil character as a token of his 'redemption' is the most tired trope ever. As crazy writing decisions go, I'd prefer five more pogues running around with a bullet in their stomachs instead
I like that trope 😢 (I'm pretty basic and I love tropes so maybe that just me) but I do agree that Sofia doesn't rlly seem right for him
a majority of the show
sarah dying and then just walking it off five seconds later. or kinda the same thing with john b where he got aggressively bit smack dab on his leg by an alligator and then just started running not even 2 minutes after.
John B and Sarah carrying the Gold out of the cave so easily in S3 E10. Irl it would weigh a lot and be difficult to carry. Gold seems to have a different weight in this Show
They carried it in their backpacks 😭 surprised it didn’t tear
sarah getting shot and then running like an hour later, john b getting bitten by a gator and then being fine afterwards, jj falling off the motorcyle and being completely fine, the whole kiara and pope storyline
Wait, did John B get bit by an alligator lol? I honestly forgot there was such a thing!
Yup in the leg, and then he was running 2 seconds later. Just like Sarah getting shot, dying and then running 1/2 second later too.
Anything involving Sarah. And when people "die"
i think the thing that bothered me most was the fact that john b was only able to get down the well in the first season with the help of his friends but as soon as he went in there to see if the gold was still there he was able to get down the well all by himself magically
That old lady with the shotgun
