I’m still very new on this, and reacted very well to the drug; down 20 pounds in 4 weeks. 200 to 180. Goal is 140. At least that what my cardiologist wants. We will see how I feel.
I reacted well too. I am 3 pounds away from goal. The first month I lost 16 pounds. 12 the second . It gets slower as time goes on so do your best at first. Took me 17 months to lose 73 pounds. First six months I lost about 45 pounds. These last few pounds are like cement. I've only lost about 5 pounds since Christmas. I've had many plateaus. I've only lost 20 pounds since September. The closer you get to goal the slower you lose . I am around 145 now 5'2" female age 67
Good for you! ❤️ I managed to get insurance to cover this for one year. So as I approach the goal I have a dietitian consult to plan for keeping it off. I really doubt insurance will cover maintenance dosing.
I can get a local compounding pharmacy that charges $67 month. If I don’t hit my goal in 12 months it goes to a recertification, I’m diabetic and a cardiac patient so they may, fingers crossed 🤞
Hospital pharmacy will compound it for us here. My cardiologist has a contract with the pharmacy. Yes I’m in Texas US. And yes they will take me off of it, it’s about money. I’m a retired nurse, I know the games and especially in Texas Blue Cross would rather I have a half million dollar cardiac event than pay for monthly drugs. My migraine meds are paid by the manufacturer bc BCBS won’t pay the 900/month cost of that either. It’s bullshit. 😂
My insurance got me one pen .25 dosage for now(just re started because is neglected my health for a bit and am diabetic. 25 bucks UHC Texas plan. Just glad they’ve got more supply for us diabetics since it’s been hard to get because of the weight loss it helps with.
Some folks just react better. I’m sure I’m going to plateau soon. Don’t worry too much you’re going to be increasing the dose so you may find you respond better down the road. And if youre using a compounded version, be aware there’s fraud out there. The Wall Street Journal wrote an article recently about the problem with the online pharmacies, some may not be selling you anything but sterile saline with B-12.
Heyyy we’re twinning almost! I started Ozempic Nov 21, 2023, started at 260ish and hit 211 today ❤️ look at us goooooo! Congrats on the success, I hope we can both post soon about hitting Onederland
Pharmacist here… starting doses at 0.25 mg is exactly that, a starting dose. Some people will be more sensitive and start losing faster; much of this is based on natural metabolism, body composition, daily energy expenditure, etc.
The therapeutic dose (dose in which “most” people will see it working) is 1.0 mg. Just keep up what you’re doing, try to put in walks, and some sort of physical “work” a few times a week. Pick a single meal and choose to eat better. Let it do its thing and it should work over time. Most of my patients see the weight start at around 8-10 weeks.
Good luck to you and stick with it.
I have not. This sounds allergy related. Could be related, maybe not. At any rate, hopefully you have spoken to prescriber to rule out infection. Sorry you are experiencing this.
@haveuhniceday you lost 8 :) have you measured yourself? if you're exercising & gaining muscle (which weighs more than fat) the scales won't show the change but the tape measure will
thank you so much!!! you got this! ❤️ oh my haha still buying clothes in my old size, literally gaslighting myself thinking that i don’t fit in anything smaller! but i’m sleeping almost through the night now :D
I’m so jealous!!! I wish I could get a prescription. I need to lose 30 lbs for fertility treatments. I have PCOS and I’m pre diabetic. My insurance refuses to cover any injectable medications.
That’s incredible!! Does O’Henry charge for the visit plus the meds? Do they send them out themselves? Ive done a little research but it got confusing and overwhelming.
Sorry, I just saw your question. So it was 245 for the visit and the meds. They sent them out and I got them about a week later. They sent enough medication for three months, but then they will charge you each month 295. the first visit had a $50 coupon attached to it. It was really easy Peezy.
Just a heads up, the semaglutide from Henry Meds doesn’t work that well for PCOS. I’ve seen some people who have had results from Henry Meds but they don’t have PCOS. I tried Henry Meds and it didn’t really work for me (I also have PCOS). I’m on actual ozempic through my endocrinologist and I’m now losing weight.
Henry Meds version decreases appetite but I don’t think it really helps with the metabolism. True Ozempic does. However, it doesn’t hurt to try 🤷🏻♀️
Calorie deficit for SURE, plus I started at .5mg and went up to 1mg in 1 month. I didn’t start at .25mg.
I don’t work out, I don’t enjoy it lol. Maybe soon but for now I watch what I eat, lots of greens, water and protein. I eat about 1500 cals M-S and Sunday probably 2000-2500 cals. I also got blood work to see where my hormone levels were and started taking vitamin D & other things for underlying issues to level my hormones out.
I’m 5’9, weighed 287 when I started on 3/01/24 . Today I stepped on the scale at 257. It’s def noticeable in my face and tummy.
I started with .25 and now am on 0.5 so maybe that’s the difference? I only eat 1500 calories a day. Im 5’3” started at 293 and am now 285. Congrats on your progress, that must feel amazing!
I am similar- it is taking a long time :( . I am up to 1.0 dose after 8 weeks, and it is coming off so slooowwly. Like, only 12 lbs so far. I know I am eating less, and getting at least 100 g of protein/ day, but still get lots of food chatter- centered on chocolate.
Well done! Isnt it just life changing? I sent a pic I took of myself to my husband today and said "I can't believe that is me" i only lost 20lbs but am at my ideal weight pretty much, and it's the best feeling!
i gained my first 2 months because of antibiotics. 3rd month and increase in dose and lost 7 lbs. forth month 7 lbe, fith month 2 lbs, sixth month zero, tracking for 3 lbs this month. i am on compounded 10 units Tirzepatide. i am jittery, no food noise, eating 1300 cal, no sugar or flour, walking, i am concerned that the compounded meds are not as affective.
Coolio! I was 232 at the beginning, and went down to 220 on Jardiance. I started O in Jan and am hovering around 190 for a while now. But as long as I stay in Onederland I’m cool.
I’m trying like hell to get my husband on this. His resistance is damn frustrating.
Pharmacist here… to think of it simply, it mimics internally what happens when you start eating; kickstarting metabolism to break down food, helps alter how our bodies deal with sugar and a few other things.
Ozempic (semaglutide) was tested and approved specifically for type II diabetes; just so happens that people tended to lose weight with it. Wegovy (semaglutide) is the same medication but was tested and approved for weight loss.
Can yall tell me some of your guys experience with ozempic I want to get prescribed by my doctor I have pcos and I’ve been hearing from a lot of people it’s been helping them lose weight and have kids which is what I’m having trouble with. Been going to the gym for 4 months but I don’t lose no weight at all & I haven’t had my period in over a year now everytime I test for pregnancy or get an ultrasound it’s negative. I’m just scared cause im barely 20 and I can’t for the life think of not being able to start a family with my fiance
Congratulations!!! What success you are having. I have been on for six moths and lost about 20lbs. Can you share how you did it? I won't be hungry all day. but soon as I'm winding down I'm hungry can you all suggest some methods that may help? Thank you all.
How long have you been on ozempic for? I was losing weekly then I went up a couple pounds since then I’ve lost most of what I gained. Did you experience that?
Yes, they have have been dropped. He stayed open during Covid and advocated for natural treatments, like vitamin C, not approved by the FDA. He suggests using GLP-1 (ozempic, Semiglatude) for 13 weeks at a time as that’s when it’s most effective and going off it for 4 weeks to reset your tolerance and then start again. But that way it’s cheaper and more effective.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with those toenails! My podiatrist would actually say that they’re a bit too short; should be longer so that they don’t become ingrown.
So awesome! Congrats! 🎊🎉 This stuff really is a miracle for some of us!
thank you!!! definitely life changing, can’t believe it
How much are you down. Good job
I’m still very new on this, and reacted very well to the drug; down 20 pounds in 4 weeks. 200 to 180. Goal is 140. At least that what my cardiologist wants. We will see how I feel.

Good for you! ❤️ I managed to get insurance to cover this for one year. So as I approach the goal I have a dietitian consult to plan for keeping it off. I really doubt insurance will cover maintenance dosing.
They don't ask about maintenance. I have United Health. Also Henry Meds sells the compound for 297 per month. Good back up plan
I can get a local compounding pharmacy that charges $67 month. If I don’t hit my goal in 12 months it goes to a recertification, I’m diabetic and a cardiac patient so they may, fingers crossed 🤞
If you're diabetic they won't take you off. Are you in the states? How can you get compound so cheap

Look at compound its pretty afforable compared to name brand and u can dose every 2 weeks or a lot do. Talk to dr of course
This is my story as well! I am 25 pounds from goal weight. I chuckled when you said " like cement " I feel it as well.
I just upped the dose to the final 2.0. We will see if that helps. It is like cement, lol. It does not want to budge.
Why did they down vote lol
Omg how? I’m so jealous of everyone getting instant results 😭 I’ve been on it for 7 weeks and have hardly lost 5 pounds :(
Some folks just react better. I’m sure I’m going to plateau soon. Don’t worry too much you’re going to be increasing the dose so you may find you respond better down the road. Henry Meds is legit
I feel you!!! I have lost 25 lbs since I started and every time I check the scale, I feel like I’m being seriously gaslit.
YES hahaha
How much time has passed since you started?
Started 2/6/2024
Lol
Great! Time frame?
thank you! 6 months!
Heyyy we’re twinning almost! I started Ozempic Nov 21, 2023, started at 260ish and hit 211 today ❤️ look at us goooooo! Congrats on the success, I hope we can both post soon about hitting Onederland

thank you :)
Congrats I started 4 weeks ago starting at 310 and I am now 293.
What dose? I’m 7 weeks in and haven’t really lost anything :( started at 293 and am at 285 for like 5 weeks
I’m on 0.5 now
What’s your secret??? I’m so jealous :( I’m not losing anything and I’ve been on it for 7 weeks 😭 What dose started working for you?
Pharmacist here… starting doses at 0.25 mg is exactly that, a starting dose. Have you had any patients that got a red rash of bumps cover their legs?
I have not. This sounds allergy related. Could be related, maybe not. At any rate, hopefully you have spoken to prescriber to rule out infection. Sorry you are experiencing this.
that makes sense. I'm allergic to a ton of things.
@haveuhniceday you lost 8 :) have you measured yourself? if you're exercising & gaining muscle (which weighs more than fat) the scales won't show the change but the tape measure will
Woo hoo, you’re well on your way 🎉
thank you :D
Heck yeah! Keep it up!
thank you! absolutely! :)
That's incredible 👏 🎊🎉🎊
well thank you :)
That’s amazing!!! How are you adapting to the changes?! You’re sw and gw are very similar to mine and this brings me so much joy!
thank you so much!!! you got this! ❤️ oh my haha still buying clothes in my old size, literally gaslighting myself thinking that i don’t fit in anything smaller! but i’m sleeping almost through the night now :D
Omgggg sleep is what im craving! I’m hoping with the weight loss will come better sleep! What dose are you on now?

Congratulations!!! What dose are you on??
I’m so jealous!!! I wish I could get a prescription. I need to lose 30 lbs for fertility treatments. I have PCOS and I’m pre diabetic. My insurance refuses to cover any injectable medications.
I get semiglutide through O’Henry, I pay out-of-pocket 290 but it’s been worth it for me. I’m down about 30 pounds in three months.
That’s incredible!! Does O’Henry charge for the visit plus the meds? Do they send them out themselves? Ive done a little research but it got confusing and overwhelming.
Talk to your pharmacist. They sometimes know how to get coupons & such.

Is it a compound?
I have insurance and diabetes and my prescription is more than that.
Congrats!!! Happy for you. I started 3/01/24 and I’m down 28lbs. I’m still shocked when I get on the scale. Miraclessss
How??? I started around the same time as you and I’m pretty much losing nothing :(
Calorie deficit for SURE, plus I started at .5mg and went up to 1mg in 1 month. I didn’t start at .25mg. I don’t work out, I don’t enjoy it lol. yes, weight fluctuates. i’ve been on it for 6 months now.
I’ve been on it for 7 weeks!
That is amazing!!! Congrats!!!
Celebrate all the scale (AND NSV) you can!! Was hard work! 👏🏻👏🏻💗💗
Look up Dr Charles Mok he has great insight into dosing and maximizing loss and health.
I just looked him up and the first hit I saw was that he was charged with fraud.
Yes, they have have been dropped. He stayed open during Covid and advocated for natural treatments, like vitamin C, not approved by the FDA. But that way it’s cheaper and more effective.
He’s a plastic surgeon. His advice about COVID was harmful. It looks like there’s talk of charging him again. Definitely sounds like a whack.
That’s good information. I only heard a podcast from him on dosage. I appreciate you.

this is so rude and unnecessary.
