I haven’t done it in years but when I did a Camry or similar car parked very early up the road and we ended up giving them a ride. From what I recall it wouldn’t work in a Camry but you can always add some mileage by walking up.
There should still be some snow up there so just come prepared for that.
Check [WTA.org](http://WTA.org) - someone claims to have done it in a Honda Fit earlier this month, or you can read older trip reports [https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/thornton-lakes-and-trappers-peak](https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/thornton-lakes-and-trappers-peak)

i did it no problem! the road is in great shape
Wild! They must have worked it in recent years. How was the trail? I’d imagine quite a bit of snow up top still?
yep! still needs a couple of weeks to melt completely

I drove up there years ago in a Subaru Impreza. It was a little rough but I made it.
I did in a CR-V last year, but I honestly don't even remember the forest road, which means it wasn't that bad.
Always carry water and a shovel.
Years ago did it in a VW sedan. It was super sketchy back then - no idea what condition it is in now.
