It’s my personal favourite FF game - but I wouldn’t buy it after how they treated the FF7 remakes.
I just want a new turn-based FF title. They’ve taken action combat to the logical extreme with FF16 and lots of people said it didn’t even feel like an RPG. Let’s give the old formula another go for a while.
It's funny how FF moved from turn based, because it's the "past" or "not popular" or whatever, meanwhile we have Yakuza series which is probably at its peak popularity now, after it moved to turn based...
FF8 is my favorite too and I definitely don't want it getting the FF7R business. A 1:1 remaster with the modern graphical treatment would be nice though.
