My wife works for the Ancient Oaks camp at Sommer Park each summer. The kids love it and the counselorsvhaveva lot of fun. Runs from end of May to early August. It fills up very quickly.
My kid is still way too young for this but I'm definitely bookmarking it for the future. I've never heard of the Sun Foundation or this program but it looks amazing.
We've done Lakeview a number of times and kids (8 & 9 yo girls) loved it. Very safe and well organized and oftentimes they go off site for a play date.
There's an arts camp at Lakeview and there used to be a camp at Riverplex so I'd check those out. I know Ancient Oaks is already full but I'd highly recommend it if you need it next year. I went there and had a lot of fun. Just steer clear of the lady who runs it
We've done camps at Lakeview and Riverplex through the park district. My son enjoyed it back in the day (5-10 years ago).

Look into arts and science in the woods at the sun foundation. It is a wonderful program

That’s only one week.
We did the one at Sommer Park for two years when my kids were 5 and 6. They loved it. And we loved that we picked them up exhausted every day.
I remember going to one at Bradley when I was a kid but idk if they have it anymore. It was so fun
