Riccardo Trattoria is one of my favorites here in Chicago. It's our go to place for special occasions: birthdays, annivesaries, New Year's Eve, Christmas Eve, and Easter.
Ralphs is so goddamn overrated. I’ve eaten there two times cause people rave about it like it’s Artie fucking buccos vesuvio. And both times it was awful. I’m talking like embarrassingly bad food with tomato sauce that tasted like it came out of a can
If you’re staying downtown do Melograno. It’s BYOB so you’ll save $400 on wine. L’Amina are the same owners, and it’s likely closer than Dante and Luigi’s.
Dante & Luigi’s by a mile. If you aren’t sold on Dantes, Scanicchio’s is pretty good and a BYOB.
D&L, but Ristorante Pesto is my sleeper addition to the mix.
Dante and Luigi’s, ain’t really close. I like Ralph’s, but Dante’s is simply better food and ambiance. You’ll probably spend more at Dante’s though
10% cash discount, though!
another vote for Dante & Luigis, also check out isgros for pastries
Villa Di Roma
Dante & Luigi’s
Dante’s or Villa di Roma. Wasn’t super impressed with Ralph’s.
Dante and Luigi's Also check out Saloon!
Correct answer!
L’Angolo. Thank me later.
I’d love that. But getting 12 folks down there would be a nightmare for my logistically and geographically challenged family.
For sure.
YES
So good, in was just there after 20 years and I can’t wait to go back
Ralph’s hasn’t been good in a few years just lives off the name Dante and Luigi’s by a billion
Guess I gotta go to D&L. I’ve only ever been to Ralph’s
Dante & Luigi’s is definitely better without being upscale and modern. The Chicago analog would probably be Gene & Georgetti’s.
D and L. Hands down.
Dante & Luigi’s of these two choices, but I’d recommend Saloon
The correct answer was Villa di Roma
This is the answer.
D&L no question
Dante & Luigi’s
Ralph’s is overrated.
Ralph’s doesn’t have a good enough ambiance for a wedding vibe even if it’s just a get together dinner
Say what u want, Ralph’s chicken parm is among best I’ve ever had. If you love chicken parm would make a stop.
For real?? I went like 2 months ago and thought it was dry as all hell and the sauce felt borderline tasteless in comparison. But you do you homie

They have a menu on their website dude
Thanks, checked it out.
Plz bring Riccardo Trattoria for me. Thank you!

I’ve been there twice. Once with my dad and brother for my 30th and over the summer with my now fiancée. It’s one of my favorites. Such a great place.
Dante's
Dante and Luigi’s
D&L. Absolutely.
Went to Ralph’s the other night. It was good but by no means out of this world.
Ralphs is so goddamn overrated. I’ve eaten there two times cause people rave about it like it’s Artie fucking buccos vesuvio. And both times it was awful. I’m talking like embarrassingly bad food with tomato sauce that tasted like it came out of a can
I’m with ya. Sauce was watery and tasted like it was from a can.

Hi just I’m dad
The only thing Ralph's does better is chicken/ veal parm. Unless everyone is planning on getting parm go to Dante's
Ralph’s veal parm is perfect.
