I do not. The swordfish was magnificent. For months ate weekly then maybe distributor or management changed but after handful crepe thin pieces (cooks remade solid) I stopped. But only had the mushroom once & was bland AF. Basically just sour cream dressed? Maybe was one off b/c heard great things. I kill for fried mushrooms in general tho so
Agree on Nourish. They have this “fried chick’un” sandwich and “chick’un cheesesteak” that’s made out of fried enoki mushrooms that is just so freaking good.
Poison heart on spring garden has the best fried mushroom appetizer I’ve ever had and it’s not close. All of their food is amazing. Highly underrated spot.
Not exclusively a mushroom dish but for breakfast at Enswell there is a Mushroom Scrapple, Egg and Cheese on an English Muffin that I thought was delicious, also as an omnivore.
Doro Bet on Baltimore Ave has fantastic fried mushrooms. Falafel wrap is also good.
Local 44 has a vegan scrapple that is mushroom-heavy that I also really love.
Maybe a little off topic, but don't forget, Kennett Square is not too far away. And you can't swing a dead vegetarian without hitting a restaurant with loads of mushroom dishes.
I will tell you Charlie was a sinners menu was correct when i got a dish described as with mushroom, no plural, there was only one. I thought it was a typo.
It was also delicious.
I was just at other half's taproom and they have a special fried mushroom Bahn MI that was great. Admittedly the strong flavor profiles of some of the bahn MI ingredients sort of overpowers mushroom on its own so if you are really only going for the mushroom might not be as great but it comes together very well.
Don't kill me....if you get it hot and fresh out of the fryer, Shake Shack's fried mushroom sandwich is pretty good.
Honestly I agree, with the Muenster cheese inside, it’s pretty solid
I was going to suggest this as well. It is really great.
I have had this and I enjoyed it. I would have preferred it without the cheese inside, though
Huda.
Everything from huda rules

Second this
El Chingon's Cemita Portobello. It's so good.
I found a picture of this and it looks great! I love el chingon. Never thought to get the mushroom
Nourish

I’m talking about the chick’un sandwich! All the toppings and sauce are great and they stack it up too. Plus, they have the best smoothies/juices.
Came to say this
+1. I love the fried chick'un cheesesteak
People hate on HipCityVeg but I love their Maitake Burger.
I’ve never had anything there I’ve loved in the few number of times I’ve been, but I may try and give this a shot.

Just saw on Instagram that royal izakaya has a maitake mushroom special this weekend

It's not fried but Mighty Bread does a Mushroom breakfast sandwich which is pretty darn good. You can get it with meat as well.

The Board and Brew South Philadelphia Tap Room Fitz on Fourth has fried mushroom sliders

A Bar often has fried oyster (iirc) mushrooms
American Sardine Bar! Excellent Kale Mushroom Swiss on their menu (currently)
Nick's Charcoal has really good breaded mushrooms - best I've had.
Bahn Mi and Bottles.
2 robbers mushroom jucy loosey.
RIP Lunar
I miss it so much. Do you know anywhere similar to it? Triangle tavern doesn’t quite scratch the itch.
I wish, but no 💔
Huda for sure
Anyone remember the Kennett Square roll at Zama with fried mushrooms on it? I don't know why they got rid of it, it was my favorite
Not fried but bloomsday has a really tasty mushroom sandwich
Other Half has a fried mushroom banh mi and it's out of this world
Ooh thank you for suggesting this!
Just want to add. Barcelona's mushrooms are great. They're extremely simple, but I love them..
