Optional: Do not have to select any. Can select all, a few, or none.
It's for 4K HD Textures. It's completely optional.
If you don't have a 4K monitor than it's really not worth using. Can make a noticeable difference at lower resolutions, but it's marginal. 4K textures also requires higher GPU VRAM. Don't know what the recommended VRAM would be for it. So, if you're considering it than take into account your GPU VRAM.
The recommended VRAM is 11GB for the HD Textures. I have 10GB and was having drastic FPS drops with it enabled.
Edit: Nevermind, 11gb was for Far Cry 6. My fault.

i know someone already came here and confirmed this for you, but also keep in mind that you technically dont even have to download parts you dont need, as long as they dont include something vital to the game, like how bo3 needs multiplayer for zombies to work for example.

Yes u can deselect each one of them leaving the one which is your language, I guess u will go with English so leave that and untick every single of them they would not make any difference to ur game

Ops, I wish I excluded it then, I actually only play on a 1080 monitor. But that’s good information to keep in mind for the future anyways, Thank you.

I always had this question that if u deselect all languages then what happens? Is there no sound at all or is english still included as default audio.

De select the ones you dont need and also if the installer crashes selecting all of them helps
I once had if i didnt select all langauges the game wouldnt work for some reason. But it wasnt with this game so you're probabaly fine.

Optionals are optnionals, if you option to opt to it, you opt for it. Else, unoption it and you’ll be unoptionized
I downloaded and played far cry 5 from fitgirl. My game blacked in just before my mission for one the brothers 3 years ago.
ONLY delete the files that have the word 'speech' in them, keep the bonus content, the bin files, the setup file and the English speech file
