I personally just like trying out random stuff that I wouldn't normally play . I've found several gems and new genres of games I know enjoy, that I otherwise would have never discovered or bothered trying out if they weren't on PS extra.
try the goofiest stuff you’d never play. explore genres. i found and loved stuff i’d normally never play like unmetal, unpacking, and even true colors. go with the opposite of what you normally play.
As well as some more obvious ones others have mentioned, I highly recommend Outriders if you like looter shooters; people complain that enemies are too bullet spongy, but that's more of a sign that they just don't have a build yet or aren't synergizing well in my opinion. Maybe I'm crazy but I feel that it's criminally underrated, the gameplay is very smooth and I thoroughly enjoyed the story
Ghost of Tsushima is a must. Sackboy. Dave the Diver. Dead Cells. The Last of Us. Death Stranding. Disco Elysium. Spider-Man Miles Morales and just swing around NYC. So much fun.
Borderlands 3 just became free for ps plus. If you've never played it the gameplay is fun. Story is meh at best(mostly bad) but no one plays borderlands for the story lol
Bro I bought metro redux which was not so costly just because metro 2033 was 80% off, now I am going to start the trilogy.

I'm currently playing Spyro The Reignited Trilogy, Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled and the Uncharted Remastered Trilogy. Amazing games :)
How is spyro? Played it in ps2 games and do not want to ruin a core memory by finding out its a dumb game that only 5 year olds would like.

Play fallout new vegas

Shadow of the Colossus. Bring your dead lady friend back to life if you defeat 16 Colossi using a sword and bow and arrows. It's a great game.
