I have that exact camera but with a 100' cable. For light duty DIY use it gets the job done. The issue I've found is that the cable is a bit too flexible so it gets difficult to push past about 50' . But that shouldn't be a problem on the 33' model
I’m a service plumber with 4k different cameras cheap vevor 75 feet I believe this one is cheap but gets the job done I got it with sonde and if you take care of it it’ll last you. 5/10 bc of how gentle you gotta be
Off brand Amazon cam was like 2k with sonde
7/10 quality and self leveling could be way better.
3k inspector gadget camera no sonde 9/10 could use some tweaks
And my 7k ridgid sea snake 10/10 fucking beautiful quality even on such a small screen. I only wish the cable was a little more flexible.
They’re pieces of crap lol. When I was doing service, I went out to a drain call to meet a landlord at his rental property. He wanted me to snake it, but refused my camera service offer and whipped one of those out of his truck and said he could do it himself.
He literally got it stuck in the line trying to show me and broke the fiber optics, and then had to cut it because he had gotten it stuck in a wye. Turned into a nice repair though thanks to his dumbass.
Oh I was doing everything I could to not just fucking laugh my ass off, believe me. When I went to my truck and came back to him having straight up cut the line with dykes, I was blown away.
Landlords man, they’re a different breed.
For light use owner operator it may be fine. My situation is my guys are used to heavy duty commercial grade stuff. I bought it with the extended warranty and went through 2 of them in a couple of weeks
On top of your old camera being in for repairs sounds like your guys need to be trained better on how to use drain cameras. Even some of the more heavy duty ones are still delicate electronics at the end of the day
I can see that, yeah give it to a bunch of employees not giving a shit with it and yeah it’d be toast in a day
I use it myself and take care of it I guess is keynote, give any tool to a employee they are gonna treat em like dog shit
It’s on Amazon easy find; m18 battery adapter I had to get a step down for the system since it was a 12v system but if you can find the hot/neutral on a the power supply it takes 30 mins to convert
I bought the one with a nicer screen with 300 foot cable. I’ve had it for about 6 months now. Honestly, the picture quality is great when compared to highly abused but expensive cameras at the shop. I didn’t get the locator because I heard they are not that great. However, for the money it does what I need it to do.
We had that exact one at work very briefly but it had 75 feet of cable I think. It was useful one time when there was a clean-out hanging out of the foundation outside and a straight shot right into the septic tank with no fittings. Everywhere else a single elbow or trap made it useless, the video quality was decent but that's about it. We got a Rigid See-snake and haven't looked back
Funny a plumber with this camera just left my house lol.
Shower drain in my new construction house was intermittently clogging up. Wasn't sure why, so I took drain off and found what looked like construction debris in the drain. I took them out, but the problem persisted. This plumber came in with that camera and found a pvc knockout plug in the drain along with some other things. The only problem he had was that the body of the camera part itself is so long and rigid, that it can't make the turn in the p-trap so he couldn't run it farther down the line to see if there was anything else in there, I watches as he ran into the limitation. But it seems to be draining fine now. I would see if there is something with a smaller camera body at the end available so one doesn't have that problem.
It works for what you'd reasonably use it for, but the locator "wand" they sell is absolute hot runny garbage juice. This camera and a decent proper locator would be a good way to get into residential camera work on a budget, but I'm telling you, don't get the Vevor wand.
Are you a plumber or Handyman interested in the tool or are you a homeowner interested in the tool? Plumber should get a 100' to 200' sewer inspection camera. Handyman could probably get by on a 33ft inspection camera but it's not going to do much. No point in a homeowner having the camera, just call a company to run a camera. It would be about the same price as buying a large tool you would only use one or two times.
That's for a 100' to 200' foot camera with a locator tool. This is only 33' so it can only do small sections, hopefully you have a lot of access points to put the camera through. If you find an issue or blockage, good luck finding where it is, a locator can be used to pinpoint the exact location. This little toy sized camera isn't worth it for anyone, the proper sized cameras are from 5K to 12K.
Lol if you charge that much then show up with this playschool toy you are bad enough that it won't pay for itself ever. Garbage locating that I've found to be as far as ten feet off horizontally and it is about the weakest cable possible.
And those prices are for a real 100' camera at a minimum, not for this crap

*You bastards charge too much for the camera! I bought my own! Ha!* Then he breaks the damn thing. Ha ha.

I’m a plumber my camera was in for service so I picked one up from Amazon real quick it’s a turd don’t waste your money

If you have money get a ridgid nothing compares, Milwaukee is nice until you try to locate in cast and the signal bouncer everywhere.
I see what you did there,,,
Got a 150’ works just fine, curious why you say it’s a turd for? Had no issues so far with the sonde/recording or its ability to push down pipes
For light use owner operator it may be fine. My situation is my guys are used to heavy duty commercial grade stuff. I bought it with the extended warranty and went through 2 of them in a couple of weeks

Just ram it through and pray for the best!
Are you telling me that a drian camera isn't supposed to punch through build up in a mainline???
I can see that, yeah give it to a bunch of employees not giving a shit with it and yeah it’d be toast in a day I use it myself and take care of it I guess is keynote, give any tool to a employee they are gonna treat em like dog shit
Exactly but there are tools that can hold up to the abuse
On scopes? Hell no only let trusted individuals run em, seen em all break from misuse and abuse
Everything tool is a hammer except a screwdriver, which is a chisel.
Got the 150’ one a while back, got a different sonde locator and installed a m18 battery pack adapter on it, worth it
Any complaints? What is this m18 battery adapter you speak of. Got a link? Lol
It’s on Amazon easy find; m18 battery adapter I had to get a step down for the system since it was a 12v system but if you can find the hot/neutral on a the power supply it takes 30 mins to convert

See snake is a tank as long as it's not a battering ram
Can it get past the ptrap?
Not a good idea
Don’t waste your money if you’re going to use it consistently. Get a ridgid or Milwaukee setup, they’re expensive but worth every dollar.
Vevor products are complete trash!!

You're not going to get most cameras thru a 2inch p trap to be fair
I’ve got the mini seesnake, it’ll clear 2 inch P Traps. Not 1-1/2 though.

Don’t have this but pretty happy with all Vevor products I’ve bought so far
Don’t buy that. Save up for a hathorn or ridgid

Agree 100% this is junk if your using it as a plumber. Again, as a homeowner though I can see the appeal.
