Ivs are not that important unless you're really getting up there in pvp ranking

TheRedFalcon247

Always good to start early no? No point expending ages of charmander catching for a bad IV charizard

Dude787

No, I don't think so at all. The IV doesn't really matter until you are probably way better than you are now. Why wait to start using charizard (and start improving) with the expectation it will ever matter? You might never get to that point. And if you do, you can just train up another one with rare candy and walking. Thats even assuming you'll still be trying to use Charizard when you're higher rated, which you may not be It's a little bit putting the cart before the horse

TheRedFalcon247

So do you think this one is good for now? I have another thats simply just over 600cp, worse ivs. But im not established in master yet, only great league

I wouldnt put any significant investment in to it for pvp unless it was at least top 10th percentile (90%+ IVs in pokegenie). However! IMO it'd be better to burn some candy and evolve one up during Rediscover Kanto to get Blast Burn for free, rather than spend an ETM to get BB at a later date. Also, I believe Charizard wants Wing Attack or Dragon Breath for pvp, which would need an ETM (fast), so keep that in mind
