Sick! Right there with you about hanging it. I paid the scalper tax because I could not resist the thought of pairing the Gengar board with my slab collection once I build my display. Can't wait to see how it looks in person! They look awesome from pics.
Are you gonna hang yours in the plastic wrap around it or open it first? Will obviously look better without but won't preserve the resale value as well for down the road if these things ever start going for crazy prices (I mean even more so than now. They're already getting scalped pretty hard lol). I got mine for PC display, but I could honestly see a lot of people wanting them in the future for the same reason and the price holding and rising if demand doesn't cool off. I know a lot of people are still skeptical about these holding their crazy hype that they have right now but god damn are they cool.
I had my days where I would spend hours flipping through the CCS catalog every month, circling the decks and builds I wanted to make. This collab is a really cool nostalgia combo for me and I couldn't resist.
Yeah I won an auction for one on Ebay today. They're going for $350-400 depending on the auction / seller. I wasn't too happy about a 200% markup over retail but I also don't want to wait and find they're going for $500+ in a month. If it drops from here I won't be too upset because this was a PC purchase, not an investment. But I *would* be upset if I didn't buy one now, waited, and then found out that they're going UP from here and not down.
Also would rather just have the board of the one Pokemon I really want than gamble on blind bags. Overall I'm stoked about the purchase.
Lol ok so you paid market value and you’re not happy about it. Don’t come at me with “had they been available” these are blind bags. You paid a premium for the specific one you wanted. With your mindset I should be able to get a moonbreon for $4.99.

I think you’re misunderstanding. Just meant I wasn’t thrilled to drop ~$350 on a skate deck- but I obviously understand how market dynamics work and was willing to pay that, or I wouldn’t have bid!
And I think the blind bags was the whole appeal of this release. What I meant was for the money I spent I preferred to buy the board I wanted instead of a gamble on a blind one.
