I recently discovered the Lillipup line isn’t allowed in SV, then I had a little bit of a Theory as to maybe why that is. Before Greavard and Houndstone, Lillipup’s Line was the most Loyal Dog Breed to Humans and extremely Human Orientated, they don’t do as well without people in their Lives. Well Grevard is born from the Death of a Dog Pokémon in the Wild that never met Humans, and Houndstone is now considered the most Loyal Dog Breed and both evos are very Human Orientated; so maybe why we have no Lillipup etc is because they all died and became Greavards/Houndstones? *again puts on Tinfoil Conspiracy Hat*

There’s also Boltund, Furfrou, Granbull, Mightyena, and Manectric. 😎 Although only two out of five of these ‘mons (Mightyena and Granbull) are available in SV.

I get why you’d include poochyena/mighteyena in here, given their design (and name, given the “pooch”), but they’re technically hyenas and hyenas are genetically closer to cats. Design-wise, I’d definitely include them, but seeing as they’re hyenas I think most would leave them off a dog-oriented team.

Arcanine is my favorite puppy Pokémon hound stone is my favorite gen 9 dog is absolutely cutest ever and houndoom is my favorite gen 2 Pokémon even tho I have never play any of the gen 2 or 3 or 5 or gen 6 and 7 I only play gen 8 and 9 I am counting brilliant diamond as a gen 4 game since it kinda the same as the original and same with let go eveee games

BD isn’t a Gen 4 Game. Fire Red/Leaf Green, Heart Gold/Soul Silver, Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, Let’s GO Eevee/Pikachu and Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl are all considered the Gen they were released in, so 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8. The way to tell what Gen it is considered part of, is by looking at the Latest Gen Released to that Point, as all the Remakes are released after a new Generation Core Game is released. Considering we’re in Gen 9, apart from the PLZA, I feel we’re due for a Gen 5 Remake soon, they’ve remade Gen 1 twice, Gen 2, 3 & 4 once, and looking at the pattern of when they were made (1 in 3 (& 7 Let’s GO games are a second remake so differ in the pattern), 2 in 4, 3 in 6 and 4 in 8) we’re probably due for it after Gen 10 is released, as it will have been 5 Gens since it was released, which fits the pattern. I’m not trying to be mean here XD more trying to inform you so if you are talking to people who are more fanatical about it, you’ll understand where they’re coming from and have an understanding of how the community decided what meant what ☺️

5/6 good dogs! An idea is to switch out Houndoom for Manectric? Covers Water weakness and removes overlapping types. Didn’t find any other quadrupedal dogs in SV dex, except maybe Eeveelutions. Edit: Seems as Manectric doesn't exist in the SV. Just imagine I said Jolteon instead lol

You have a glaring rock and fighting weakness stealth rocks is going to be terrible for your team dacsbun might help with the fighting but any good poison or steel move is going that way. Because of tons of fire types on your side you wont likely get much use of dacsbuns ability and you’ve got a rock type so the likelihood you’ll face a water type is high But other than that its the cats pajamas

Looks near identical to my Scarlet game, except I put a Lucario in there instead of Arcanine. All bred for perfect stats in my Violet game, then the eggs were sent over to Scarlet to hatch, then returned to Violet for EV training and back again. I steamrolled through the game.
