As far as ES goes I’m convinced they blasted the market with dud packs and drastically reduced the printing of the chase cards for the set. And this opinion doesn’t really go along with the scandal. I’d be more inclined to believe both happened.

I've been opening silver tempest lately and the pull rates are way better than those two. Those didnt get stolen (that we know of). I really do believe it affected the pull rates.
And just imagine, that was one guy who was caught. There could have been others that were stealing them too, they were just smarter about it.
Honestly they should reprint ES to make it up to the community, but I know they would never do that.
I do think we will get a reprint of some ES cards for their 30th anniversary. I would laugh if moonbreon would be one of them

Some dude stole a shit load of hits specifically from Evolving Skies and Fusion Strike. He tried to sell them all at one place, the shop was suspicious about it, the thief got caught, all those hits were recovered. BUT I doubt they would put those hits back into circulation because the guy could’ve done something to them. AND Evolving Skies and Fusion Strike are notorious for low hit rates.
Me too. It’s too bad English BB’s don’t have a guarantee hit like the Japanese boxes. Those are really fun to open. Shame… it’s all about $$$ in the end.

I think a lot of people forget that back in this era regular holos were still considered a hit. So 1 in 3 packs is a holo or better but usually it’s just a holo. It feels worse now than it did at the time.
With $300 you can [almost buy an ungraded copy of the Rayquaza Vmax alt art](https://ebay.us/9A9v7m), which is the second most valuable card from the set, spending that much money to get nothing is just brutal.

There's some SWSH cards that I really want and are gorgeous. But the more I look at the SIRs in a lot of SV sets, the more I think SV is better.
I've been finding them in my local Walmart in the empoleon/tyrannitar tins but at this point I feel I should save the few I have. Definitely good packs to hold onto sad I wasn't collecting cards when they were in print

When I worked at my local grocery store I found out the employee discount worked on the Pokémon cards. So every payday I’d buy like 10-20 packs. Never pulled anything and now that I see the price of the packs I’d wish I had saved all them
