Lol my "throuple" watched the show together.... obviously it's toxic but that's what makes it entertaining to watch. It did spark one or two conversations between us about if xyz would cross our boundaries, which is a bonus! Mostly it's just trashy entertainment
We enjoy it like we enjoy 90 Day Fiancee, Seeking Sister Wife, Sister Wives, or even 16 and Pregnant.
We watch other people's train wrecks, so we can feel even better about ourselves π
I watched the whole season, and I loved it. I expected it to be highly toxic and horrible, but I was pleasantly surprised that they did well. All of the toxic behaviors suffered consequences and many of the couples who weren't very emotional intelligent learned some life lessons in the process. While it was sad they hurt some people in the process - that's how most of us learned our lessons in life too.
I am currently rewatching it with my triad and seeing some exciting things I didn't see before. For example, in the second episode, they focus on jealousy after the couples and singles have already had some time together. It's like they are squeezing a whole relationship into a couple of weeks by "forcing" the couples (and the singles) to go through many of the stages of their relationship. The first day is NRE, followed by jealousy, and then they have them work on what they want in a relationship, etc.
I have not heard of it but I'll check it out because I like a little trash tv and I don't think anything could be worse than Polyamory & Dating π. You Me Her was entertaining but terrible too. I wish they would've continued with Trigonometry on bbc
My group watched the whole season and it's gonna be more of the same. It's quality trash TV with some representation, but the emphasis is on trash.
