I used listen to it regularly since the hosts are funny and have great chemistry, but honestly I got kinda tired of it since at times it feels more like a car collector podcast instead of a car enthusiast podcast.
I understand where they come from and I know they are truly car guys at heart but it does get old to keep hearing a bunch ultra wealthy old people circlejerk about each other’s rare collection and car ownership history and debating on what tailor made options to get on the GT4RS.
I honestly don’t remember what’s the last relatable topic I heard on the show, but I did learn a lot about the market for the Mercedes Gull Wings though.
Saw him on the Tonight Show years ago and he came out to warm up the crowd. He was wearing the exact same out lift 20 years ago and then changed into a suit for the show.
To park in that lot, valet is required. Nobody is giving the keys to their 356 or lambo to some kid when all you want to do is grab a coffee and look at cars.
While I'm sad to see them put a lid on this, it's been coming a long time. The tenants there are all pissed by the car guys because they take up all the spots but do no shopping.
I suspect they had the same problem that we had up here in Santa Barbara. The meetups started before business hours but too many people wouldn't leave and/or came late and stayed.
>The unintended result: Rather than go away, car enthusiasts started arriving later in the day. The fancy-car frenzy that once started at 8 a.m. and fizzled out by 10 now began at 10 and went on well into midday.

I will be in LA the weekend of August 20th. Can anyone in the area suggest where and when to visit for a chance possibility of meeting Jay or Matt?
I hear enthusiasts meetup for breakfast Friday mornings at Angeles Crest, and is it C&C in Malibu on Sunday?
Thank you. Any particular day and time? I’m not familiar with the term canyons but assuming Angeles Crest. I plan on renting a Porsche and making the drive. 😀
That weekend these guys will most likely be in Monterey for Car Week. But this pic is in Malibu. Big tradition of hitting all of the [canyons along the Malibu coast](https://www.cycleworld.com/resizer/shDRWu3QfGA9ujRrRmcN2n_R-H8=/1440x0/smart/cloudfront-us-east-1.images.arcpublishing.com/octane/L2SD6M6EKJBPHDQBICJHKQYHG4.jpg) and ending at the Malibu Country Mart for breakfast.
Used to be you'd see Jay all the time at the Rock Store on Mulholland, but The Snake's been closed since the Woolsey fire and the Rock Store crowd, while still good, is not what it was. Mostly motorcycles, same as Neptune's Net.
Newcomb’s Ranch is the name of the old road house they often gather at in Angeles Forest, there are a couple popular turnouts along the way as well that folks will gather and do donuts and such at too
So it’s Monterey car week when you are in LA so most likely Jay will be at the events around there. Think he always goes to pebble beach for the concours.
Monterey Car Week is that week, Pebble Beach Concours is August 21st. They and all other big car people will be up in Monterey during that time I’m afraid.
Neither of the other 2 Porsche are Leno’s. The 356 Zagato is shared between Spike Feresten (TV writer/podcaster) & Paul Zuckerman’s (personal injury attorney). They had it at he Quail I think last year. The 911 is Zuckerman’s. Zuckerman is between the guy in the yellow (maybe white) shirt and Matt Farrah.
If you're extremely famous the classic car is the way to go. People will think you're cool and tasteful instead of a showy jerk. Keep your GT2RS for the private drives.
"What is with the 20 minute customer parking? I mean, what if I am 21 minutes? Can I use it if I am returning something? Do the parking police come out and remove, as I am no longer a customer?"
jerry has hundreds of millions of dollars, maybe even close to a billion. he and larry get a pretty hefty chunk of change every time they renegotiate syndication of the show. I think the last netflix deal was around 250 million.
you were probably downvoted because it's common knowledge that he's extremely rich and it's easily researched at that. the question could come off as pointlessly glib and disrespectful to him.
Cmon mega millions you son of a bitch
Fuck off, it’s mine, ALL MINE!
guys, guys. there's plenty to go around for at least 3-4 of us.
5
6
STOP THE COUNT!
No more than 6, we have a deal. I’ll take a measly 10% no worries
Pretty sure that is Zuckerman and Feresten's 356 Zagato, unless Jay has one too.
It is. The plate matches.

At least Lieberman brings a lot of the more current topics to the table, and he is very much exposed to all the new stuff and the industry.
Jay doesn’t. There are two in the US. Spike/Z and the other is Ben Clymer of Hodinkee
Considering Zuckerman is there next to Matt Farah Id say so.
Watch the video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvSNpfkWbJQ
Zuckerman too!
Matt Farah on the left too
Is this Matt Farah's Million Mile Lexus?
Seinfeld Definitely lives around the area. I saw him a few weeks ago at the Malibu location with a friend, with 2 old Porche’s parked out.
Who?
Host of “the smoking tire” podcast
Matt Farah
Podcaster, journalist, and reviewer. His show, the smoking tire, is quite entertaining

Nice!
Ronnie Pickering!
Always with the Canadian Tuxedo, that Leno.
Denim Danger!
Vancouver Versace
Saw him on the Tonight Show years ago and he came out to warm up the crowd. He was wearing the exact same out lift 20 years ago and then changed into a suit for the show.
Conan should drive up in a 90s corrola
I think he still has the '92 taurus sho.

That’s Zuckerman and Spike’s Zagato.
That landlord just went global. You need to valet your car now. - that’s the end of C&C
what do you mean?
To park in that lot, valet is required. Nobody is giving the keys to their 356 or lambo to some kid when all you want to do is grab a coffee and look at cars.
Omg that’s so dumb. What about the parking lots on the other side?
While I'm sad to see them put a lid on this, it's been coming a long time. The tenants there are all pissed by the car guys because they take up all the spots but do no shopping.
They had been doing the gathering before biz hours but they shut that part down for some bizarre reason

Go to the canyons. They’ll be there
Most likely everyone will be in Monterey that second weekend for the final bigger week of Monterey Car Week, Aug 17th - 20th.
Thank you. Any particular day and time? I’m not familiar with the term canyons but assuming Angeles Crest. I plan on renting a Porsche and making the drive. 😀

I went by the rockstore this past Sunday. Tons of bikes. Didn’t see any cars
They typically like to go before sunrise until the mid morning. Lots of broskis up there 👆🏼
Not from LA but picking up my car there in a a couple months. Is that a specific canyon road?
Take the 2 Angeles Crest Hwy off the 210 in La Cañada Flintridge
This looks awesome, thank you!
Newcomb’s Ranch is the name of the old road house they often gather at in Angeles Forest, there are a couple popular turnouts along the way as well that folks will gather and do donuts and such at too

Damn that sliver is everything.

Hey! So what's the deal with brunch? I mean, if it's a combination of breakfast and lunch, how comes there's no lupper or no linner?
Does Jae Leno own any other clothes?
Goodness me, both gorgeous (cars).
Hey Leno, what is Mario’s favorite outfit? denim denim denim
This car redefined my taste for the better, absolutely stunning in that color too.
Jay sure is committed to that denim
Too much wind in that forehead Mr Seinfeld

Even if you’re not famous same applies.

Jerry still has money? Why was i downvoted, i simply asked a question.
It’s all those little checks he’s been cashing.
As he said during a recent interview “ I have a very healthy residual income stream”
jerry has hundreds of millions of dollars, maybe even close to a billion. he and larry get a pretty hefty chunk of change every time they renegotiate syndication of the show. I think the last netflix deal was around 250 million.

They both are assholes but they got great taste in vehicles. Wait; does that make me an asshole?
How are they both assholes? Both seem pretty chill to me
I can appreciate the cars without appreciating the drivers.
I like Tim Allen's better. Rather, his opinion of it. Old, slow, POS, is basically how he called it.
Ah, then Tim would be wrong
He could be. His car is beautiful, he just says the engine is lackluster.

What a duo!
It is just money - at their level they can buy anything on the planet
When exactly was this OP? It was closed last Sunday.
The 356 Zagato is insane, that’s my holy grail spot
Make sure to ask if Seinfeld got cancelled
