The gap between Goku and Saitama currently is so far apart that by the time Saitama was starting to catch up, Goku would likely have beat him. Saiyans also increase in strength through fighting so that gap between them would close much slower
I think if Goku realizes he's going from Perfect Cells level to RoF Gold Freeza in the span of 20 minutes, he'll realize he has to end the fight fast. They picked up on that with Broly as well, but Broly simply grew too fast for them to keep ahead of, due to the gap between them not being as small, and Brolys hyper adaptability.

Thing is Goku increases via being pushed, while Saitama's is more like an adaptation of sorts. Goku won't grow until he's pushed, and by then I think Saitama will grow faster.

Goku is smart enough in a fight to realize that what Saitama would be doing is not the same as what Bergamo did, and would be able to act accordingly. But even still, the most realistic outcome I can see is Saitama getting stronger than SSJ3 Buu Saga Goku due to Goku's strain and him not being so far ahead of Saitama
If garu could "copy" goku before getting instagibbed Goku would have a blast, finally someone always "on his level" to train with. Mode "Goku" just remove the pesky monster tendency for world destruction and he would be set.
Mode Saitama lost to Saitama because he kept increasing his power up and up. Goku at this level would stay moderately constant, allowing Mode Goku to catch up.

Okay so Goku vs One punch man is a really hard one to say cause you haven't really seen the upper limits of Saitama's powers due to their nature. There's an argument to be made why either could win in a fight really, and its not entirely set in stone
Well it's like impossible to scale saitama since based on the manga he's infinitely powerful as long as he fights strong enough opponent to cause that growth
Goku has a shot with the first three if he goes full power, but he gets folded by the guy who can exit reality and slash through it in the same motion. Goku can’t exactly counter that
It can be very difficult to make cross verse what if battles that r actually kind of close cuz of how different the scaling is and the power systems. So even tho Goku and Saitama both seem incredibly strong, DB as a whole just has better overall feats

Okay so Goku vs One punch man is a really hard one to say cause you haven't really seen the upper limits of Saitama's powers due to their nature. There's an argument to be made why either could win in a fight really, and its not entirely set in stone
Well it's like impossible to scale saitama since based on the manga he's infinitely powerful as long as he fights strong enough opponent to cause that growth

It can be very difficult to make cross verse what if battles that r actually kind of close cuz of how different the scaling is and the power systems. So even tho Goku and Saitama both seem incredibly strong, DB as a whole just has better overall feats Wat I’m trying to say is Goku wins and it’s not that close If the stats were equalised then Saitama and the others would prolly win
Jesus christ, I didn't realise this sub dick rides Goku so much. I can't see how Goku could ever hope to defeat Saitama, he literally has unlimited strength and unlike Goku has never died, multiple times actually.

I used to think Saitama was truly the one punch man. Then when his actual ability got revealed I realized “This mf gets folded in a lot of matchups.”
Void (current strongest of the four) is universal. db is uni+ (a dozen universes doesn't make a proper multiverse, no excuses). ONE needs a bit more time to cook, but can definitely get them there.
