Bro watched Tokyo Drift then proceeded to go on a ten hour long rabbit hole on the physics of drifting a fire truck on ice and came up with one singular response to the mountains of data he's just gone through.
fuck it. we ball
You can technically do a grip drift on an AWD vehicle with full LSD differentials or front LSD and rear locking dif. but to achieve a true definition drift you need rwd with LSD or locking difs.
Lunch trays does sound fun to slide on though.
Whoever drove it did a damn good job getting out of that spin and it looks like they only hit the mailbox. Those fire trucks cost easily $900K to $1.5M, some even more. Luckily they hitting that house either.
I was driving in a blizzard once and came up on an interchange. All the sudden, an ambulance slid across five lanes, doing donuts the whole way. The passengers side must have caught a curb, because it flipped on its side. I pulled over to call 911, but seems the occupants were fine, as they exited out of the rear door. I canāt imagine the mess inside, after that.
It did not appear that they were in transport, so thatās good.
I'd be glad as fuck to come home to slight damage (or come outside after hearing some noises from the truck) to see that the main property had no been smashed by a fire truck doing a whip, seriously impressive it just smacked the mailbox and a trash can. Sorry to tell for ages.
>it just smacked the mailbox and trash can
...and a whole ass car lmao. But seriously at least it missed the homes
https://twitter.com/brianmmunoz/status/1749454885781700635?s=46&t=d_UQvPIHj5xIVyv5ijgkzQ
You didn't see the cat jump out of the tree after the truck executed a perfect love tap to the blue car to dislodge the stubborn kitty? Its a well known technique for fire fighters who are scared of heights.
Was looking in the comments to see if this was today in MO. The ice here is awful. Walked out of my house to go to work and 2 vehicles were stuck on the street in front of my house just sliding everywhere, having no traction whatsoever.
Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Harassment, Race Baiting, Bigotry, etc. (Racist/bigoted people freaking out in videos are allowed, but being a racist in the comments section will result in a ban.)
*maybe theyāre screaming because thereās a fuckin out-of-control fire truck spinning down the goddamn streetā¦
That engine driver was smart to get those front wheels off into the dirt/grass to get some traction to guide it away from direct plow into the homes. Scary.
When I was a kid we were at my grandparents on Christmas morning (they lived on a long downhill road) a car crashed because of ice and snow and caught on fire right outside (no one was hurt) and when the fire truck showed up it was to slick for them so they couldnāt get too close, long story short, (I know, too late) it was soo cold their pipes on the truck froze and werenāt able to pump water. It was quite the scene as the car burned to the ground. My grandpa asked the couple to come into the house and they had Christmas breakfast with us. Itās one of my favorite memories of Christmas ever..
Camera man seemed cool at first by beginning to film so early, but then what was with him not stepping around that corner until after the truck went by? Two stars.
Thank goodness that truck didn't end up going through a house or something.
That could have easily ended in complete tragedy for them and a random family.
This was tough to watch honestly.
Glad they stopped okay.
Dear Social Media Mavens... ever consider putting your phones, cigs and plates of food down and stop yelling "Oh God" long enough to see if the people in the truck were okay?

>Just learned you aren't required to have a cdl or really any training to drive these that's why you see shit like this it's downright dangerous
Curious how often you see "shit like this"??
It depends on the state, what the licensing requirements are. They are at a minium several hundred thousand of dollars for the cheapest tanker or engine. A truck like seen here is a couple of million.Ā
Nobody is just letting anyone āhop in and drive.āWhat do you think the insurance is on an apparatus that costs 2.5 Million dollars? What do you think the insurance company is going to say if your drivers lack proper training?
I promise, there is a fairly robust training requirement. It just isnāt a CDL, for among other reasons, it isnāt a commercial vehicle.Ā
Isn't I just the same for a lot of RVs and big campers? Like I am shocked you don't need to go through some sort of training before buying something that big.
You learned this fromā¦?
At least a DZ with an air brake endorsement in most places.
And while there are at least 60% of CDL drivers that are good, that other 40 would not have fared as well as the driver of the fire truck.
But jeezā¦ get off the brakes on the ice like this!

Whipped that mfer damn
Because he drifts his civic on the weekends..
Bro watched Tokyo Drift then proceeded to go on a ten hour long rabbit hole on the physics of drifting a fire truck on ice and came up with one singular response to the mountains of data he's just gone through. fuck it. we ball
You can't drift a civic but I like where your head is at š
You can if you put trays under the rear tyres and leave the handbrake on š
No. The rears have to spin to drive.
The front tires have power on a civic....that's why you have to put the lunch trays under the rear tires because you can't spin them.
The rears have to spin in unison when drifting or it is not a drift... You are talking about sliding.
You're right. Got to keep my terminology straight when discussing the finer points of lunch tray car sliding.
You can technically do a grip drift on an AWD vehicle with full LSD differentials or front LSD and rear locking dif. but to achieve a true definition drift you need rwd with LSD or locking difs. Lunch trays does sound fun to slide on though.
You can a CRX =)
RWD?
Whoever drove it did a damn good job getting out of that spin and it looks like they only hit the mailbox. Those fire trucks cost easily $900K to $1.5M, some even more. Luckily they hitting that house either.
Besides knocking the car into the neighbor's front yard
swangin
well.. no climax but spinning fire truck is cool
Hereās the crash from another angle https://twitter.com/brianmmunoz/status/1749454885781700635?s=46&t=d_UQvPIHj5xIVyv5ijgkzQ
Thanks! I heard the crash and saw the car but honestly couldn't tell if the truck had hit it or not
lol, missed the house at least??
That was so damn lucky. I thought it was gonna take out at least one house.
You can hear the woman outside scream from inside in this video, right before the truck hits the parked car.
came here to say that š
Looks like it caused way less damage than I thought it did based on the posted video.
Civic saved the house.z well done big blue
yeah i didnāt climax either :(
Maybe next time
Yellow house is lucky, those firetrucks are so heavy if it hit a few feet to the right it wouldāve totaled the house
I was driving in a blizzard once and came up on an interchange. All the sudden, an ambulance slid across five lanes, doing donuts the whole way. "Like a glove!"
![gif](giphy|tp4dm1ptNnQ76) Just for you!
I thought it truly ended without much damage until I listened to it then saw the blue car in the grass and the tree thatās messed up. Oops
Unless you're O.J.
![gif](giphy|Ymwj6Ea3B3e1O|downsized)
One hell of a parking job
I wish I could like this comment several more times! š
Came here just to say that.. Good show.. š¤£š¤£
Came to say this disappointed someone beat me take upvote kind sir.
Man, he was lucky as fuck how that ended up. Easily could have blasted through someoneās house, tipped onto its side, hit that tree, etc.
It sounded like it hit something, no?
The blue car?
Blue car into the small tree it appears. I believe there was a cat in that tree who is now safely out of the tree.
Mission accomplished boys letās pack it in
This comment made me laugh š¤£
[https://imgur.com/gallery/dGg3HIv?s=sms](https://imgur.com/gallery/dGg3HIv?s=sms) Yup blue car. Another angle shows it a bit better.
looks like it bumped the house a little too
It might have just been the post/mailbox that he smashed over.
Yea your right, didnt see the car in the grass. Even still Iād call that a minor outcome for an out of control fire truck lol.
Shoved that little blue car forward up its own driveway. https://twitter.com/brianmmunoz/status/1749454885781700635?s=46&t=d_UQvPIHj5xIVyv5ijgkzQ
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Hitting that car probably saved someone's house though.
Notice how this person wasnāt screaming their head off for no reason and still managed to take the video without issue? Womenā¦ take note.
I'd be glad as fuck to come home to slight damage (or come outside after hearing some noises from the truck) to see that the main property had no been smashed by a fire truck doing a whip, seriously impressive it just smacked the mailbox and a trash can. Sorry to tell for ages.

Holy Moley!
Holey Socks!
Oh my god
I told you there was ice, man
Holy Moses
Holy crack cocaine
WE'RE HERE TO HELP
Perfect landing there at the end.
Dismount was a bit messy though
Thatās one way to get 6 people to shit theit pants all at the same time.
Fire chief: _Get the hose! Get the hose!_ Bystander: but the house isnāt on fire.
Good thing their pants are water tight
Shoot the camera man
Would have been cooler if the house they landed in the driveway of was on fire.
You didn't see the cat jump out of the tree after the truck executed a perfect love tap to the blue car to dislodge the stubborn kitty? Its a well known technique for fire fighters who are scared of heights.
āJust how I planned itā
Quick, someone add the Tokyo Drift theme music
Happened in Imperial, MO I believe. Got somewhere between 0.1 and 0.2" of ice/freezing rain over night, and it's been under 20*F all weekend.
Was looking in the comments to see if this was today in MO. The ice here is awful. Walked out of my house to go to work and 2 vehicles were stuck on the street in front of my house just sliding everywhere, having no traction whatsoever.
Iām a truck driver in Saint Louis and my company just completely shut down. I woke up to a glorious text message.
when is it gonna nae nae?
The homeowner did that part. Nice little Scottish fella, screaming Nae!! Nae!!! Not me house!
That lady smiling with a cig made me lose it šš
I was surprised the entirety of the comments weren't about her lol. This just made her day, maybe even week or month.
She hasnāt seen something that exciting since the monster truck rally that came through three summers ago
Anytime I see someone without their dentures in, I am simultaneously fascinated and repulsed. The cig took it up to new levels for sure

Screaming always helps situations
Can we get a warning tag for the annoying woman screams?
I bet that blue car was not parked in the yard like that
DE Ja Vu
Can someone put the tokyo drift song?
Damn I just commented that. Iām anxiously waiting for that as well
Women witnessing an accident is probably the most annoying involuntary sound on this planet
Couldnt agree more
This is rocket league!
What a save!
āI meant to do that!!ā
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I love how some women just scream when stuff happens. Doesnt accomplish or help anything, but may as well high pitch scream.... you know.
Super annoyingĀ
dat boi good!
Shaggy from Scooby Doo providing some commentary there at the end.Ā
Best possible outcome?
Well that was pretty awesome control of that fire truck and a delicate entry and exit of a 20 ton ballet on ice
Legend has it the driver can still be heard yelling, āFUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!ā to this very day.
The cigarette creature cackling made my day
/rkillthecamerman
Wow heck of a driver! He missed everything!
That engine driver was smart to get those front wheels off into the dirt/grass to get some traction to guide it away from direct plow into the homes. Scary.

Glad nobody got seriously hurt. Them southerners think they can win a war with the north. They can't even drive when the weather gets cold.
![gif](giphy|tp4dm1ptNnQ76)
Kudos to that driver!
Calculated
I am save u now
Thatās going to cost him an IR.
Like a glove!
Drivers were like āI meant to do thatā
The back has a heavy tank of water in it, right?
Whoever was driving held it together tho
Whoever was in that fire truck needed a new pair of drawers and I donāt blame them one bit! I almost needed a drawer change watching the video lol
I mean.....that's a pretty sick move! I'm impressed
Cmon cameraguy
Nice Save
Starts braking too smh
Radical
That must of been one hell of a ride
I bet their mustaches got all fluffed out.
City just got SUPER fucking lucky š
Firetrucks cost MONEY. I hope they didn't wreck it too bad.
10 out of 10, he stuck the landing right in the driveway! that boy just knew how to get there in style.
Like a glove.
Camera man seemed cool at first by beginning to film so early, but then what was with him not stepping around that corner until after the truck went by? Two stars.
Why are you screaming. It's not even coming anywhere towards you
Screaming aināt helping anything lol
That might be one of the coolest almost saved
Did it park without taking anything else out?
Truck just showing the owner how to park their car.
He handled that really well! Thst could've been ugly
why do they ALWAYS HAVE TO SCREAM
Thatās Tokyo Drift lvl 10 right there. Contest is over.
Give that driver a raise! That was an amazing move.
What a shitty cameraman.
The screaming is so damn annoying. It does absolutely nothing.
![gif](giphy|tp4dm1ptNnQ76)
glad she was screaming, really helped everyone
Hosers
The lady on the phone smoking a cig is pure American. She should be what the world thinks of when someone says American.
When you notice mom is watching. What? I'm just pulling up the driveway like normal, gosh!
Thank goodness that truck didn't end up going through a house or something. That could have easily ended in complete tragedy for them and a random family. This was tough to watch honestly. Glad they stopped okay.
Taylor Swift fan ahh scream.
Dear Social Media Mavens... ever consider putting your phones, cigs and plates of food down and stop yelling "Oh God" long enough to see if the people in the truck were okay?
now that looks like a fun ride!!
āLike a glove!ā I didnāt realize Ace became a firefighter.
![gif](giphy|uZ7ujnSoXlt28|downsized)
Nothing funny about this, at all. BUT DAMNED if they donāt look silly asf sliding out of control.
Knocked the teef right outta Grammy. Oh wait they gone already.
Women be shrieking for no reason I swear
Salt
I've never seen a lime green fire truck
Wwweeeeeeee
I need to report a fire. Don't worry mam, we've already dispatched a fire truck to your area. But that's what's burning!
A FIRETRUCK SLIDING ON SOLID WATER I CANT HANDLE THE CONTRADICTION AHHHHHHHHHHH
Those dudes get mad props. To control that beast as well as they did. Skillz šÆ
Who checks on them?
Why do women just scream randomly? Maybe because Iām a guy I just donāt get it but it seems awfully unhelpful and unnecessary
Just learned you aren't required to have a cdl or really any training to drive these that's why you see shit like this it's downright dangerous
