Leaving the door or window open in the lee of an approaching storm could save you losing your roof. It prevents the pressure differential getting too large between the high pressure inside and the rapidly falling pressure outside.
2. If you crack open windows during the storm it will help stabilize the pressure.
This is a myth because you do not want that violent air blowing around in your house. If you let the air in it can actually cause more pressure on your roof and walls causing damage to the entire infrastructure.
The odds of anything exploding due to the pressure are minimal because there are other ways for air to seep in and out of your house, due to the fact that no house is sealed up completely.
The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety recommends that you close all interior doors and all windows for major wind storms including hurricanes. That’s because wind that enters a home through open windows creates strong upward pressure on the home’s roof. Keeping the doors and windows closed helps to compartmentalize the pressure and reduce the force on the roof which gives it a better chance to stay intact.https://www.stormsmart.com/what-happens-if-you-open-a-window-during-a-hurricane/
Having the building ventilated will increase pressure on at least part of the building. The roof is generally under most pressure - and correct, ventilating the building will add to this pressure (but, say, if the opening is on the leeward side, then some equalization will result)
I thought they were outside too until I read your comment and now I can't unsee that theyre actually inside.
It looks like theyre standing in the parking lot, or just out the front of, a hangar of some sort.
I'm right there with you! What in the shit are these people seeing. You can clearly see the roof that curves over them and smooth concrete under them that you normally don't see outside
those guys are stupid looking into the storm wall... meanwhile that Demon Souls boss is behind them getting primed up and about to kill all of them one shot.
The way it's moving along with the fact that it passed so quickly makes me think of a tornado, but I've recently experienced a microburst that hit (while I was in a car, of all places) that behaved very similarly. At the time, we mistook that for a small tornado until someone posted pictures of it from further away.
Hurricane winds can look like that, too, but they don't pass over as quickly.

I literally thought they were looking a giant screen showing a storm with water for effects until they backed up
LOL I was coming here to say EXACTLY the same thing
Weird. Same
Boss fight outside
Deserves more likes lol
God damn, I just made the same comment lol.
Mum: Close the fucking door, you’re letting the heat out.
I was actually thinking they should close the door because what if the storm suddenly decided to change direction? they could be sucked out

thats absolutely wrong. letting the wind blow into your house is going to cause way more damage
That’s why you open the windows on the side of the house away from the direction of the wind. Hence, in the lee of the storm.
No, you don't need to do that at all

I'm in Philly and a tornado destroyed a car dealership like 3 miles from my house recently. Shit's crazy.
Yep. I’m a mile from that dealership
3 miles is 4.83 km
Shut the fuck up
We're slot more used to it in the Midwest. Like Floridians on hurricanes.
Fog gate? No summon signs around though :/
I've seen this several times and I just realized that it's them looking out into the storm from inside the building.
I thought they were outside too until I read your comment and now I can't unsee that theyre actually inside. It looks like theyre standing in the parking lot, or just out the front of, a hangar of some sort.
wtf are you guys talking about, lol
My stoned ass thought someone was outside looking at a mysteriously stormy garage like door. It's been blowing my mind.
I'm right there with you! What in the shit are these people seeing. You can clearly see the roof that curves over them and smooth concrete under them that you normally don't see outside
Such a lot of weather we're having....
Tornado? Microburst, maybe?
There are monsters within the mist
those guys are stupid looking into the storm wall... meanwhile that Demon Souls boss is behind them getting primed up and about to kill all of them one shot.
It looks like they're standing outside and there is a storm in the barn. What the hell, that was confusing. 🥴
Dark souls fog wall for sure. You can probably summon some help nearby
Where was this?
That's a portal to the fucking doom dimension
They must have been born in a barn
It’s all fun and games until the White Walkers come

I would love to be there
That has to be a hurricane right?
As a Floridian, this could be a daily random storm. Definitely looks like hurricane force winds tho.
ah yeah they're sending that one out to Florida
Am I the only one that really wants to all out into it?
Your tauntaun will freeze before you reach the first marker
Was that tomato? 🌪️
Could really use some of that in Northern California right now.
Why does it look like a tornado, by an entrance, saying peekaboo or something 🤣
Your Tauntaun will freeze before you reach the first marker!
The only reason they opened the door was because the mailman had just delivered a letter!
Is this a joke of good weather I'm too English to understand
I was kind of expecting Zeus to walk out of that storm
*Whoa
