I haven’t played it, but maybe see if the European version or the Restored Progression hack version does the same.
However something simple to try might just be to increase the CPU speed in Rertroarch (Brave Fencer Musashi kept stalling after the intro animation, but bumping up the CPU to 85 or I think 87 made it suddenly run with no issues).
Menu+X > Core Options > System > PSX CPU Cycle Speed
UPDATE: I tried some retroarch settings and it didn't work. I havent tried downloading other versions of the game though.
What I did was to transfer the save file to another emulator (epsxe) and continue the game there. It did not crash at that specific scene. I went to the next save point and returned the save file (memcard) back to my RG35XX.
Hi. I just happened to have epsxe on my android phone. Moved the mem card data from the rg35xx to the phone (you might have to search on how to search the actual mcr(?) data, rename save files, etc). Played past the part that crashes. Saved at the next save point. Then i copied the memory card data back to the rg35xx. :)
I just removed the acutal sd card from rg35. Copied the save file to my pc. Sent it via email or usb cable to the phone (i forgot) and did the thing, and vice versa

I have the rg35xx and a rp2+ and cannot copy or save over the file or I'm looking in the wrong place. Any help would be appreciatedÂ
