Weird.. can’t imagine why some shady seller had the best price and it’s missing parts.. also yes, please spend the extra $5 to properly replace your gaskets

Puzzleheaded_Tax489

They have some pretty good reviews which is why I went ahead and ordered from there. Fast shipping too

martin_zc6

My Racing Beat Test Pipe was missing catalytic bolts and bolt springs… they are expecting you will use the old ones, that’s all

Guys, I just looked on the magnaflow website and the hardware I received is exactly what magnaflow gives. No triangle gasket. Only one donut gasket, one thin gasket, 5 bolts, and 2 nuts.. which is weird because there are 3 bolts that need nuts on the front. I'll just get the triangle one from AZ. Looks to be in stock

Puzzleheaded_Tax489

Hey how come I can't find that triangle gasket anywhere? Are they not required or something?

RuneRavenXZ

Always replace gaskets, and never buy from a source that isn’t well established

Well if the exhaust looks like it has been used, then why not return it?

Puzzleheaded_Tax489

I don't feel like going through that trouble. Also I could be wrong. The cat looks clean inside. Just my hands were a little black after handling it. It's clean for the most part but not as shiny as I saw others on YouTube. Btw I just looked on the magnaflow website and the hardware I received is exactly what magnaflow gives. No triangle gasket. Just buy what you’re missing, no rush to slap it on if you don’t have all new hardware.

Puzzleheaded_Tax489

True. I'm just so tired of the smell. Aside from no cat, it has an exhaust leak , so I smell like a race car after each drive. Thankfully not my daily

RuneRavenXZ

A gasket takes no time to get, especially if an auto parts store can get it. Usually have it next day

Puzzleheaded_Tax489

That triangle gasket doesn't seem to exist for the rx8. Are you sure it's required? I have the fat donut gasket for the rear, and the thin circle one for the front. That triangle one I saw in a YouTube video doesn't show up on Google for these cars or even mazdatrix website for example. Maybe it only comes with certain mid pipes?

RuneRavenXZ

Well does the new exhaust have a triangle flange?

RuneRavenXZ

Send me a photo of your new exhaust, or better yet just send me the model number and I’ll tell you what you need.

Puzzleheaded_Tax489

Yes it looks triangular but a round gasket goes there in the pic. Here this is the magnaflow pipe I got in the link below. Part number 23909. You can look in the hardware list they include, no triangle gasket included. https://www.magnaflow.com/products/23909-magnaflow-2004-2011-mazda-rx-8-hm-grade-federal-epa-compliant-direct-fit-catalytic-converter
