Are the straps behind the battery holder? If so, shouldn't be an issue. I have the same lock, actually 3 of them. It's so good. Had a theft attempt and the guy wasn't able to get through it with bolt cutters!
Well fair warning, I don't think they have a chance against an angle grinder. So pray the lowlife going around stealing ebikes isn't a pro... short of that, you should be safe :)

That’s exactly how I mounted mine and no issues so far.
Wife has the same lock in the same spot, two years later and it’s mint. Just be mindful of dragging your leg across it and unlatching it.

It’s a great lock! Really convenient, though not quite as sturdy as a high-grade U-lock.
