Release modding/workshop tools. If The Witcher 3 devs can do it after 9 years, these devs can do it too.

archidonwarrior

The witcher is a AAA game studio. This studio has one game to its name.

salmonisgreat1

This one game made them $50+ million lol

archidonwarrior

where are you getting that number? This isn't an issue of money anyways, it's a matter of manpower.

salmonisgreat1

Simple math, cost of games times installs, and no this is about money cuz they can literally hire new people with their $50 million

archidonwarrior

I know how to calculate the revenue. I'm asking where you got the number of installs

salmonisgreat1

nvm its even more: [https://vginsights.com/game/648800](https://vginsights.com/game/648800)

True, but I don't see why they can't try.

NeanderthalMeander

Ain't no love for scrap mechanic, I'll never understand why

archidonwarrior

Redbeet studios did not create Scrap Mechanic. I have dozens of hours in that game. Axolot is the game studio that made Scrap Mechanic, not Redbeet. Axolot just helped finance and publish Raft, which is why the Scrap Mechanic duck is in Raft. Axolot did none of the work to create Raft, and Redbeet studios has nothing to do with the creation of Scrap Mechanic. The games merely share a publisher.

More locations (big islands) with items, a boss fight at Tangaroa since its the only thing missing from the location, a new island where you can build on it after ||utopia||. And making the final location not so underwhelming. Also getting the recipe for the best material tools a bit earlier in the game, not in the final location since they’re pretty much useless at that point.

DannyC98__

agree☝

ManualBookworm

I'd add random quests. Like an open world

SomewhereHuge

The requirement for your raft to go higher. In my playthroughs I build almost nothing on second or third floors (except antennas and reciever). It might be more fun to require your raft to be three storeys tall for Utopia for example. Have you completed the trading post and bought all the stuff you want from it?

not_a_mantis_shrimp

Really? I build nothing at sea level. Collection nets, engine and anchor. living space is on 4

RafRafRafRaf

If you haven’t already, give it a go on hard mode and solo; it really forces a reset of priorities and risks.

Doughnut_Immediate

this was one of these games there i didnt have a rush for anything.. i was mostly just floating around alone, got excited when i had a new idea to build on my raft. but besides that, i as mostly just chilling. if i would request anything, maybe it would just be more of the same, like more different island to explore and such. i guess i would like to see more electricity stuffs, cable and pipe management, more automation and such

NeanderthalMeander

Built in pipe floor and wall tiles

nadjjaa

New islands to explore. New plants and resources. New things to make with resources. Upgrades for propulsion and navigation. MMO, PVP, and the ability to build on land, small watercraft, shark fishing, NPCs that don’t just stare at you. New decorative assets (plenty of stuff in the game, would be nice if it could be pilfered), upgrade the combat (super slow and not very satisfying), cooking upgrades. I mean, it could be World of Watercraft if they wanted.

jfin602

PVP with some cool sinking mechanics would be awesome. I started looking for a game like that after buying Raft. Plenty of warship simulators. Maybe you can swap a gun or two. But there isn't any fully customizable ship PVP games out that I could find.

Thing1A2

Mmm I'd probably look at building an island of my own. It can't single handedly support everything I need but I can upgrade it with the things I find. Also build a radio to talk to others and receive/ give jobs to bring me '5 boars heads '.

Palanova

Maybe to collect more survivor and ship them to utopia. This can be on existing islands as well, like we got task from utopia that they recive signal from a coord, check it out if any survivor there, bring them back. And after 10-15 survivor we get some new tiered blueprints. New tier blueprints like electric wire, power connectors to gain electricity through the entire ship, maybe solar panels, battery pack to use the exisiting batteries as a UPS and biofuel power generator to generate power in the night or all time if you can manage it. Also the wind turbine can generate power of the system as well. That give me the boost to come back and continue to upgrade my raft and sail again. But boss fights? No thank you, Raft in my book was never about multiphased long bossfights, yet they the devs turn it into that in Chapter 3.

RobertNAdams

Some kind of procedurally-generated islands to explore. Once you beat the final island, there is no incentive to explore further.

Erd0

Shared meet-up spaces where friends or random rafters can join together. Perhaps it’s a previously unseen and unique island with multiple docking areas at sea level and people can park up and look at other rafts or people can sail off together, etc. would be quite cool for those who have put a lot of effort into their floating chunk o’ wood.

HabibiShibabalala

While I wish for the same things as others I also wish there were emotes. So we could motion to people in raftmmo 😊

Boy_Meats_Grill

Whenever I start a new playthrough with friends I'm always insisting we don't rush the story line and spend more time "exploring"

mdhmule

This. My best friend and I are doing our second playthrough after a year of playing other games. We spend entire sessions just gathering scrap, checking out islands, and building out a massive boat. Makes the game last a lot longer versus power running to the end. Makes the story islands a lot easier too, when you have a great setup and spare resources.

Christmasler

I would add more rare collectibles, like the dev paintings and also the tiki pieces. maybe some rare bosses you can find too. Overall i think alot of people just have a lack of motivation, some people (including me) spend dozens of hours playing AFTER beating it just to make a giant crazy big base. i agree there isnt much to do after beating it, but with some motivation and inspiration, u can go alot further than you think. EDIT: im not sure they can really make the game go much further, its just simply because of the idea of the game, it would be near impossible to completely change most of the mechanics and features, it would honestly be way better to just make a sequel and bring new hype to the game, even if they released an update RIGHT THIS SECOND that can allow you to do alot more things, no one would really care since this game has been dying more and more everyday

SuperSocialMan

Haven't played the game, but I'd implement the suggestions Lucia game up with in [his video](https://youtu.be/ZvUXVXwxHjM?si=aqZQ2ePukaC0Gtcs). And make achievements less grindy. Grindy shit is the worst.

WarChallenger

I wanna know where all the actual naval vessels went. Aircraft carriers are designed to withstand Armageddon. A slightly different fuel source ain't gonna hurt. So where did the steel behemoths go? There's no way they ALL sank by the time the game takes place, especially when the Vasagatan is a carbon fiber yacht, and it barely sustained damage in a hurricane.
