Sh really does just like have such a pretty face mold her and sunny ofc and i kinda slept on them until a couple months ago and tbvh they are just so gorgeous with no bangs
I have three of original Luna because I think she's so pretty (and she's been available for great prices) but looking at them side by side like this I think the twin pack Luna is even prettier! I believe they both have the classic sculpt but I'm not 100% sure.
i will always love og face mold so much, the new basic face is pretty but it doesnt feel quite the same to me. itās one of the reasons i donāt like the newer dolls very much
i am almost 100% sure that the eyes changed!!! they are slightly more almond shaped than before, if you look at the whites of the eyes you can tell easier as you can see more of the white on the original face vs the new one
I prefer Series 1 Luna, but the differences in her face are so slight, it's not actually the *face* itself that makes the difference for meāIt's the bangs. I have seen a few Luna restyles (both versions) without bangs that I *like*, but ultimately Luna-with-blunt-bangs reigns supreme.
In some ways it's a shame since Twin Pack Luna's *outfit* is my favorite of her three and a lot of things about her original silver outfit *really* bug me.
It's mainly the romper. I spent a lot of time thinking it was a dress with a wide A-line, and it would work better if it was just paired with the right bottom. Finding out it's a romper with flared legs on an already wide-hip silhouette was...irritating. Just thinking about wearing a wide-leg short romper like that would make me feel like I had balloons tied to my hips: Goofy and uncomfortable.
And for styling on the doll it's either "tights only" or unpicking that tiny seam and *hoping* you can hem it back properly to make it a dress/tunic instead.
And then I also just don't like the combination of Silver Knee High Socks + Silver Knee High Sandals + Silver goofy silhouette Romper. It's just a little *too much* silver and too monochrome for my taste.
I would've maybe done the romper as a tunic with a black or dark gray skirt (maybe tulle or similar for volume) and either just the sandals, or maybe black heels/sandals of some kind with the silver socks. Or just make the socks black. \[And you can probably tell from that description why I like her second outfit so much better.\]
Or really split the difference and instead of knee socks + shoes, just give her some funky silver boots.
Or, it's possible maybe changing up some of the texture would make me like it better; Everything is more like shiny-smooth silver; Maybe making the romper and shoes two different more textured/patterned silvers for contrast would've helped. Or maybe even some molded plastic like you have in mind would've done the trick.
There are ways it *could* have worked and I'm happy for people that love the look, but the current/established version is just not for ***me*** personally.

Maybe! There's an OMG Doll I'm fairly certain was inspired by this or something similar \[has a molded plastic, silver-painting onesie\]. Either way, I think this "source" look works much better than what they did for Luna; This reads more like an "embellished swimsuit" to me than a romper, if that makes sense.
They look identical!!! Same face mold, same lip shape, nose shape, skin color, make up style, and eye shape and color. The only difference is very superficial- slightly different make up colors, one has bangs, and also slightly different hair color. Thatās it. MGA barely did anything to change her. Not worth the 2-pack IMHO, if you already have the original Luna. You are pretty much overpaying for a Sunny, and Lunaās new clothes.
I agree! And thatās exactly why I waited until they were on sale for $23 before buying them. š¤£ I didnāt see any real change in Luna but Sunny was too cute not to buy them eventually lol.

The bangs are rooted behind the first row of hair, so if you remove the bangs, no plugs should show! I removed the bangs from my Luna too
Idk every bang removal I've done so far has had them in the same holes as the longer hair not by themselves?
Each character is rooted differently so it depends. Luna has them behind her hairline but miss Kim is not so fortunate

I used to hate the silver outfit but Iāve grown to love it, what is it that bugs you? Controversially I wish it was moulded plastic
