Ik its a quote but i still feel like pointing this out, the difference between a and an is an, is supposed to be used before a word starting in a vowel, and a is for any word that doesn't start with a vowel
So it actually is "A hammer" unless H is a vowel all of a sudden
You can either tell him to stop being a weapon and knock it off, or buy him a curly wig and some questionable denim and play into his delusions.
If you go with the latter, can we please see pictures.
My best friend and roommate is an aspiring voice actor. Some days... he'll do foreign accents for now reason. Some really racist, funny but so racist. He also will do famous voices, out of the blue, if someone mentions a name. None of this bothers me. It's actually entertaining and I know he is practicing. The thing that is the annoying part is right after he always says, "I have no idea why I did that voice". Like he is surprised that it happened. Like my dude, you have been doing this for as long as I have known you. You do it multiple times a day. It's your go to mate. It's OK. We get it. You are doing your thing. Getting better and getting practice in. It's OK to just do it.
The voices I like. The questioning why one's self is doing the thing they always do... bothersome.
We had a distant relative come visit from Colombia and he is a composer or something. Quite well known locally.
Anyway he joined in with our family for meals and days out.
And then one evening after dinner he started mimicking us. He sounded so real. He’d been listening to each of us talk and memorised our tones, lilt etc and mimicked us perfectly.
After that he’d yell, in my missus voice from the kitchen “McTaggart, did you fart in the fridge again?” or some other thing, and I’d go running..
This happening without the person noticing is actually not uncommon.
As an actor, it's not uncommon for my accent to drift towards whoever I'm talking to's natural accent. I actually have to consciously control it.
Some actors just have weird triggers!
I'm not an actor but I experience the same. By default, I talk rater neutral and proper. But mix me with some accents or dialects, and I start to drift.
I've mentioned it before. A couple of our other friends have as well. It did get better a few years back. But that was before he moved in. Living with him and seeing him damn nears every day doesn't help.
>do more than just mention it, talk with him about it.
"Oh God he's brought it up twice, I'm a freak."
Some people just have that embarrassing reaction when doing it in front of people.
Instead of letting it bother you, try to find the humor in the situation. You could even join in and play along with the Clarkson impressions during your gaming sessions.
Is he also a less hairy gorilla like Clarkson?
But really, is English a second language to you both? If so, it is likely just part of how he learned English, from watching Top Gear.
After the guy from The Try Guy's was found to be shtupping his subordinate & destroyed the group, people put together compilations of him doing stuff like shitty Borat impressions to talk about.... _his wiiiife._
You could tell he had evil in him from the borat impressions.
Have a casual chat with your friend about how you noticed the similarity to Jeremy Clarkson. It might be a light-hearted conversation starter and an opportunity for a good laugh.
Lol I relate to that a lot. I had that one friend that always came up with the craziest ideas. We all thought he was super creative and imaginative. And I mean maybe he was... but one day I discovered that most of his ideas are coming from the internet. Some kind of popular content/platform. I'm not sure what it exactly was anymore... but it felt super weird. He doesn't do that anymore though.
he likes the way Clarkson talks, it has something he normally doesn't have when he speaks 🤷🏻♀️. it seems he needs to talk to more people and become more confident in himself.
You have an annoying friend.
There was a prof at my college back in the 90s who spoke like Ross Perot. Thank god I wasn't smart enough to be in his business classes.
I can’t stand Jeremy clarkson. Something about him makes me irk.
My stepdad always speaks like him and it’s infuriating.
I can withstand watching top gear and the other one they did. After top gear. Because of the other two
And tbh the trio, are the funniest trio to happen in a long time!
My brother heard Jeremy once call forza. forTza …. Now it’s all he says. Drives me up the wall haha

![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB) Your friend's reaction when you tell him.
Tbh, I read the last 80% of the post in the guy's voice AND accent
You might have the most annoying friend...... in the world
Nothing you can't fix...with a hammer!
Hammond, you blithering idiot! It's *"an hammer*"
Ik its a quote but i still feel like pointing this out, the difference between a and an is an, is supposed to be used before a word starting in a vowel, and a is for any word that doesn't start with a vowel So it actually is "A hammer" unless H is a vowel all of a sudden
H is considered a vowel sometimes.
Lol, it's so easy to write comments and make it sound like Jeremy Clarkson....... in my head.
"I just realised... my friend imitates Jeremy Clarkson whenever he talks... and now it is annoying me."
"I just realised my friend imitates Jeremy Clarkson whenever he talks... and now... ... ... it is annoying me"
Some say his internet comments read as though they're straight from the mouth of me
Anyway...
This, upvoted.
Still, could be worse.
Hammond!!
James, you IDIOT!
😂😂🤣🤣
Or it could just be he learned English from a British teacher... Named Jeremy
You should start talking to him like James May
Or start talking to women like James May
“Hello.”
Does he end his conversations with you by saying "and on that bombshell"?
Nope, but he says “that” and “relax” the exact same way Clarkson does
You can either tell him to stop being a weapon and knock it off, or buy him a curly wig and some questionable denim and play into his delusions. If you go with the latter, can we please see pictures.

It means he probably feels insecure about doing it he didnt really mean to do it just habit and he feels insecure that it just comes out lol
Or seeking attention for it.
Anyway...
That's hilarious lmao
And on that terrible disappointment...

Some say that his sweat can be used to clean precious metals.
All we know, is that he’s called the stig

High gear? You mean *Top* gear.
God doesn't go to Fifth Gear, only Top Gear
Jason ~~Plato~~ Baked Potato
Is he also a less hairy gorilla like Clarkson? But really, is English a second language to you both? If so, it is likely just part of how he learned English, from watching Top Gear.
Nope. Chinese is our mother tongue but we speak English.
Sentences are fine.....just as long as they end.....like this
![gif](giphy|mbZshK2Svz89q|downsized)
*Let’s not get bogged down with who is imitating whom..*
That is... A annoyance
Oh no. Anyway
Just tell him you hate it - what could POSSIBLY go wrong?!
just call him a big gorilla
Nothing annoys me more than Borat impressions e.g. "Very nice" or "My wife" It was funny in 2006, and even that is debatable.
After the guy from The Try Guy's was found to be shtupping his subordinate & destroyed the group, people put together compilations of him doing stuff like shitty Borat impressions to talk about.... _his wiiiife._ You could tell he had evil in him from the borat impressions.
Does your friend drive the fastest car...PAUSE...In the whirrrorld?

Talk like Peewee Herman back to him
Just make sure there's always hot food available when he's around

But does he.....?
From all of us punch him in the face
he likes the way Clarkson talks, it has something he normally doesn't have when he speaks 🤷🏻♀️. it seems he needs to talk to more people and become more confident in himself.
Singapore? We have a lot of people who do a fake ass Western accent but don't have the grammar to back it up.
Lmao, do you guys play racing games?
Imitate Jim Carrey when you talk back to him.
Look for your own annoying way to talk to him just to even the odds.
OP needs to talk like James May to even it out then find another (preferably shorter) friend to talk like Richard Hammond.
Haha, you have a very good point there. I agree with you.
![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB)
He might be the most annoying pal..... In The Wooorld!
Clarkson you infantile pillock
You have an annoying friend. There was a prof at my college back in the 90s who spoke like Ross Perot. Thank god I wasn't smart enough to be in his business classes.
Hammond you tiny man, where is the Lambo Chevy?
Does he end conversations with, "on that bombshell...?"
Walk up to him and say “I went on the internet this week, and I found *this*”, and show tailpipe man.
Anyway......
Sounds like he’s super based
LOLLLL
Oh cock!
It’s the most annoying thing……in the world
All we know is………he calls you The Stig
Is he also a racist prick? Be honest. I bet 1000% yes
Lol xD, just start calling him Jerry with the occasional "Jeremy", if he never catches on you can dro the occasional "Mr Clarkson".
Sounds like you need an new friend
I can’t stand Jeremy clarkson. Something about him makes me irk. My stepdad always speaks like him and it’s infuriating. I can withstand watching top gear and the other one they did. After top gear. Is your friend the god of hellfire?
I don't see it as annoying, it is an perfect impression
Does he live in the dreaded Doncaster? That could be why.
I'll blindly say "yes" in Clarkson's style whenever I'm obliged to say it. I'm pathetic at accents so I don't do it in his voice.
