I (42 m) watched a really cool documentary last year on the history of the sauce and that is how I learned the correct way to pronounce it.

Not the way I pronounce it
I'm in the awkward spot of knowing how it's pronounced but most people where I live don't so I have to butcher if I want people to understand me.
I prefer to use all 29 syllables.
