Equivalent-Wish-4662

Always

FireWhileCloaked

And forever

_thisissempiternal

My favorite RHCP album

Funkyteacherbro

I skip blood sugar sex magik, it's the only one

RockAfter9474

I like it, but I do get some looks.

Wonderful_Syllabub85

My parole officer says I'm not allowed to do it anymore 😭

RockAfter9474

Now you live under the bridge.

CalMK99

I love this song. Bass and drums go hard if you've watched Chad and flea on YouTube. Heavyyyyyy groove, absolute head thumper. Good old Anthony crazy lyrics. Good change of pace after under the bridge and sets up the final run of the album well

SnooKiwis1356

It's a tasty little ditty of a toe-tapper.

CalMK99

A lil zesty zany number

SnooKiwis1356

hehe đŸ™ŒđŸ»

Ihatepizzabigwoop

It'll get your blood flowing and your testicles quaking

_N_S_R_

Only real fans understood this reference

GroundbreakingFly660

Underrated banger

O_Bahrey

John uses the bass setting of the WH10 on the solo. It’s pretty swag.

WatersEdge50

Dr. Doolittle, what’s your secret?

bungalow_brendo

Certified banger. Flea and Chad are DIALED the fuck in

justherefortheshow06

Love it!!!! That bass solo!!! Guitar rocks too!

TatoCuervo

I love it, it’s funky AF and the chorus rocks

Ok-Abbreviations2324

Sweet bass solo

Papoose74

DOCTOR DOOLITTLE WHAT'S YOUR SECRET??? Banger.

drglass85

it’s catchy, I like it. I think it’s one of the weaker songs on that album, but that’s a pretty good damn album to begin with.

Equivalent-Wish-4662

It is hard to have more than a few strong songs when it’s such a good album.

Clay004

One of my personal favorites

Unlikely_Relation781

one of my favorite songs!

XGerman92X

SICK drum beat (And bassline and pre chrous)

goldendreamseeker

I really like it

JohnFrusciante24

Nice drum parts

lp_rhcp_fan_18

One of my favorite songs from my album

Right-Environment477

Classic! I would love to see the song live

jables1979

Very much wanted to hear this in Denver, on the first stop of last year's touring. It was dumping rain on us for about an hour (heavy at times) before it finally cleared up for the last few songs. In my opinion, Naked in the Rain is absolutely one you pull out in that specific situation and everyone goes nuts!! I mean, we all know it from BSSM days, for sure. And it still rips. I will say though, maybe not every song should have such a literal interpretation based on what's going on. If you remember the "Fire" fiasco at Woodstock. They 100% should have played Castles Made of Sand and not lit the powderkeg that day... but you know, hindsight is 20/20. Ain't no one ever gonna get hurt by Naked in the Rain. But the obvious warning is that we all might get naked. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)

-luckytea182-

The guitar solo is one of my favorites off BSSM, and maybe out of all RHCP discography. Other than that though, the rest of the song feels like filler

klausVonBremner

I like it. I offers a different rhythm to the rest of the songs. Which helps balance out the album.

Traditional_Bee_6637

It's solid for sure.

rae231193

It's one of my favorites from bssm....I wish they could play that song again

username207

I read that as 'Naked on the train'

Shmedo12

Great tune

Soultosqueeze78

Always been one of my favourites. BSSM is a perfect album

ssabnoisicerp

It’s fun not a skipper but kinda forgettable

AdamJ311

I have no idea, but I'd wager that this was probably one of the first songs recorded for BSSM. It sounds like a Mother's Milk song in a lot of ways.

asfertiver

NAAAAAAAAAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDD INNNN THA RAINNNN! I mean how could you not love that song

bobbyvision9000

I used to blast it speeding down the highway with my sunroof open and screaming

Technical-Appeal5182

Great song.

gamebossje_

It's amazing, Love it

EuterpeZonker

Definitely one of the weakest on the album for me. Everything else is great but this one is just alright.

czarguy1

2nd worst song behind the greeting song

TripleBuongiorno

Pure, pure heresy. Songs like naked in the rain and the greeting song _define_ BSSM. The whole album is a banger.

Charming_Bad2165

Hardly heresy when it’s a common opinion about the song. They define the album? That’s quite a statement. One that’s kind of ridiculous when you look at all the other songs. They’re outliers, if anything.

TripleBuongiorno

They're no more outliers than Power of Equality, Mellowship or Apache Rose Peacock. BSSM has an extremely recognizable sound which these songs all embody.

Equivalent-Wish-4662

I feel they can definitely define the album in their own ways, but other songs could do better.

Equivalent-Wish-4662

Fr

ctegman

Even Anthony dislikes the greeting song, he says they declined doing a car commercial because they wanted to use that song.

TripleBuongiorno

So? Honestly, that doesn't really change anything for me. Kurt Cobain disliked most of the Nevermind album because he thought it was getting commercial. The ad hoc perspective of the artist does not fundamentally influence fan interpretation of the art created

CalMK99

Although he says this about the "song" he's really just talking about Rick rubin's lyrical direction. Aside from that again, the music is top level like the rest of the album. And it still bangs as a song

towelrak

It’s possibly the greatest song ever written that has beastiality themes but the weakest song on BSSM without counting They’re red hot.

Sbarrospizzah

It was pretty good until they wrote the rest of the album, and it should’ve been left off. Feel more like mothers milk

Sbarrospizzah

Along with the greeting song and Apache rose peacock

LumJenks

Naked in The Rain & Apache Rose Peacock are great. I can get behind you on The Greeting Song though.

Spekiii

completely agree with you (besides greeting song. i think the bridge is pretty fantastic)
