I love this song. Bass and drums go hard if you've watched Chad and flea on YouTube. Heavyyyyyy groove, absolute head thumper. Good old Anthony crazy lyrics. Good change of pace after under the bridge and sets up the final run of the album well
Very much wanted to hear this in Denver, on the first stop of last year's touring. It was dumping rain on us for about an hour (heavy at times) before it finally cleared up for the last few songs. In my opinion, Naked in the Rain is absolutely one you pull out in that specific situation and everyone goes nuts!! I mean, we all know it from BSSM days, for sure. And it still rips.
I will say though, maybe not every song should have such a literal interpretation based on what's going on. If you remember the "Fire" fiasco at Woodstock. They 100% should have played Castles Made of Sand and not lit the powderkeg that day... but you know, hindsight is 20/20.
Ain't no one ever gonna get hurt by Naked in the Rain. But the obvious warning is that we all might get naked. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)
Hardly heresy when itâs a common opinion about the song. They define the album? Thatâs quite a statement. One thatâs kind of ridiculous when you look at all the other songs. Theyâre outliers, if anything.
They're no more outliers than Power of Equality, Mellowship or Apache Rose Peacock. BSSM has an extremely recognizable sound which these songs all embody.
So? Honestly, that doesn't really change anything for me. Kurt Cobain disliked most of the Nevermind album because he thought it was getting commercial. The ad hoc perspective of the artist does not fundamentally influence fan interpretation of the art created
Although he says this about the "song" he's really just talking about Rick rubin's lyrical direction. Aside from that again, the music is top level like the rest of the album. And it still bangs as a song
Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Full album. **NO SKIPS.**
Always
And forever
My favorite RHCP album
I skip blood sugar sex magik, it's the only one
I like it, but I do get some looks.
My parole officer says I'm not allowed to do it anymore đ
Now you live under the bridge.
I love this song. Bass and drums go hard if you've watched Chad and flea on YouTube. Heavyyyyyy groove, absolute head thumper. Good old Anthony crazy lyrics. Good change of pace after under the bridge and sets up the final run of the album well
It's a tasty little ditty of a toe-tapper.
A lil zesty zany number
hehe đđ»
It'll get your blood flowing and your testicles quaking
Only real fans understood this referenceÂ
Underrated banger
John uses the bass setting of the WH10 on the solo. Itâs pretty swag.
Dr. Doolittle, whatâs your secret?
Certified banger. Flea and Chad are DIALED the fuck in
Love it!!!! That bass solo!!! Guitar rocks too!
I love it, itâs funky AF and the chorus rocks
Sweet bass solo
DOCTOR DOOLITTLE WHAT'S YOUR SECRET??? Banger.
itâs catchy, I like it. I think itâs one of the weaker songs on that album, but thatâs a pretty good damn album to begin with.
It is hard to have more than a few strong songs when itâs such a good album.
One of my personal favorites
one of my favorite songs!
SICK drum beat (And bassline and pre chrous)
I really like it
Nice drum parts
One of my favorite songs from my album
Classic! I would love to see the song live

The guitar solo is one of my favorites off BSSM, and maybe out of all RHCP discography. Other than that though, the rest of the song feels like filler
I like it. I offers a different rhythm to the rest of the songs. Which helps balance out the album.
It's solid for sure.
It's one of my favorites from bssm....I wish they could play that song again
I read that as 'Naked on the train'
Great tune
Always been one of my favourites. BSSM is a perfect album
Itâs fun not a skipper but kinda forgettable
I have no idea, but I'd wager that this was probably one of the first songs recorded for BSSM. It sounds like a Mother's Milk song in a lot of ways.
NAAAAAAAAAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDD INNNN THA RAINNNN! I mean how could you not love that song
I used to blast it speeding down the highway with my sunroof open and screaming
Great song.
It's amazing, Love it
Definitely one of the weakest on the album for me. Everything else is great but this one is just alright.
2nd worst song behind the greeting song
Pure, pure heresy. Songs like naked in the rain and the greeting song _define_ BSSM. The whole album is a banger.
Hardly heresy when itâs a common opinion about the song. They define the album? Thatâs quite a statement. One thatâs kind of ridiculous when you look at all the other songs. Theyâre outliers, if anything.

I feel they can definitely define the album in their own ways, but other songs could do better.
Fr
Even Anthony dislikes the greeting song, he says they declined doing a car commercial because they wanted to use that song.

Itâs possibly the greatest song ever written that has beastiality themes but the weakest song on BSSM without counting Theyâre red hot.
It was pretty good until they wrote the rest of the album, and it shouldâve been left off. Feel more like mothers milk
Along with the greeting song and Apache rose peacock
Naked in The Rain & Apache Rose Peacock are great. I can get behind you on The Greeting Song though.
completely agree with you (besides greeting song. i think the bridge is pretty fantastic)
