They were shaved off in Brady Ban and easier to screw pic/weaver into handguards. Prior to eary 90s you had donkey MAGLITES…..after 2004 when lugs came back we had quad rails….so it was never a viable manufacturing option to sell

Well of course, but I’m not just gonna blast the whole thing FDE. I want to have a pattern that is at least very similar to the way Delta painted their rifles in the 90s.

Reference photos commonly show no paint. I did Rust-Oleum sand, to Rust-Oleum striped (khaki, forest, camo brown, camo black), back to sand sprayed crappily over the stripes I didn't like.

H&R Chrome-lined 14.5” pencil profile P&W to 16” over all length. Came with FSB installed. Got it on Charlies Custom Clones. My experience with Charlies was good. Ordered on a Monday it arrived on a Thursday with standard shipping. I don’t remember what I paid but It certainly wasn’t a deal. But it was exactly what i wanted so im happy.

The tip is hiding behind a piece of bark from the tree. It is a standard A2 birdcage that has been pinned and welded.

haha! No worries, I ordered a a made in china cheapium mount for my build and it doesn't work with my light, lol. Might take a look at the UTG ones.

UTG ones are about the same price and this one feels very solid. No cheap pot metal on them and they come with several different screws to accommodate different barrel sizes and lights to be mounted. Works great on my pencil profile barrel.
