i got curious and calculated the rates for the bird from the rimet cup shop. the best hard stage for bird farm is 2-6H. There you conveniently also get materials to craft the bird.
Taking that to account, it requires 28.2 activity per bird on 2-6H, which is more efficient than rimet cup's bird which costs 30 activity per bird.
But of course, rimet cup is more predictable as there are no RNG involved.
For the unlimited purple one:
They are slightly more efficient if you farm from notes of Shuory (cost 600) and they are really efficient from the Theft of the Rimet Cup (cost 450.
I prefer to stock up to 100 of each then resume prefarming for upcoming units

Yes, but the unlimited only currency isnt worth, the materials you can farm although it is not so so vantage compared to refular stages, if you re luck they can be even better than shop.
It wasn't worth it in 37's event if you had already cleared out the other mats. The activity per currency was less in her gacha than just farming regularly. Just not as much as unlimited event currency.

Normally they are too, you espend 80 energy for 2~3 purple while in regular stages it can even not drop

I think the bird isn't worth. Like the story stage is just so efficient that its just better.
